I started reading V.C Andrews books in 7th grade. All of the series are really good, except for the newest ones that came out.
Flowers in the Attic, and the Dawn series are my favorites though.

This book got put on a short list of books I've read a LOT. I was just into High School when my mom handed it to me after me bugging her for something to read. I loved the awkwardness, the taboo, and of course, the ending. I've read the entire set for the Doll family (yes, I know I shortened it).

Oh, wow. I honestly have to say that this one is one of my favorites. I read it for the first time when I was in middle school and it only blew me away because of the sheer awesomeness of it.
Now. I'm not saying incest and child abuse is awesome, I'm just saying that I loved the way it was written, and it was something completely new that I had never read anything like it before. As for finding it disturbing, yeah, I did. But it didn't scar me in any way.
And I think I read like... two of the continuations? I don't remember if I ever finished the series. But I remember I really liked those, too.
Awesome book, thanks for reminding me of it. I might have to re-read it soon! :D

I didn't think it was awkward at all.
I mean, being someone who has always liked the thought of psychology, it made sense. It showed all the vital points of a human being: greed, pride, love, and strength. There was a really strong message in the plot of the book. The books that come after it are actually just as interesting as the first.
I've read all of them.

Oh. I remember when I was searching up for some book and this book happened to pop up. I read the summary and I thought I liked it and decided to get it from the library but they say it was banned from that library. Why? I don't know because i never got the chance to read it. Is it like really violent or something? O.o

I read it and was also blown away. I read many other of her books and eventually got bored of them. They are all sick.
