lol I did. I think I read it for the first time when I was in the sixth grade. It was the first book I had ever read by VC Andrews and I didnt understand alot of it, and no one would explain anything to me. Though when I got older and re-read it I of course was like

Was blown away and freaked about it.
I was in 10th grade... but you're also talking about me, who is a very late bloomer, and that stuff was so... O.O Whoa! Yeah yay for being naive!
Yeah just a little sick and twisted for my taste at the time. The book still makes me uncomfortable two years later. Yeah... >>

Oh boy, Flowers in the Attic was just the tip of the iceburg.. yeah there were like 4 continuations, and of course VC Andrews has got tons of other book series, always based on a girl with an odd name mind you.
I read a ton of her books but now that I think about it it was only really because I had a friend who was into them. They're really repetitive after you get used to the drama.

that movie was based on the book, of coarse the book was a lot better, but I didnt know that until last year..I my self seen the movie when i was little. then when I got in to V.C. Andrews Books I didnt want to read it because I had already seen the movie, but then everyone always talked about the book being better so I decided to finally read it last year and I am glad I did :D

Arekya I say young adult section or if you're library has one, the series section. V.C Andrews has a lot of books so they put her a series section. (Like Star Wars for example) Always best to ask your librarian if you don't know.

I loved the book when I was younger. I first realized my love for reading when I first read Flowers in the Attic, and the rest of that series. Petals on the Wind, the second in the set, is the best one I think.

Odd names, odd lives, odd disfunctional families.... I went through a phase where I read most of the first several series. The ones written by the actual VC Andrews and ghost writer number one. Any series after those first several were just too far from her original styles and story lines and I felt they were simply capitalizing on the name

Oh I suddenly remembered why I had to read this book. It was a project my 10th grade English Honors class. I remember having to present it to the class and at the end of it I gave everyone a powder sugar covered doughnut and after nearly everyone I told them to see a doctor if they started feeling sick (cause in the book the mother gave the children poisoned doughtnuts.)
I didn't actually put anything in the doughtnut. xD But the look on everyone's face was priceless. xD

Arekya - just tell her you don't know and that someone just told you that it's good book. xD And if you come out mentally scarred like some of us, then you know never to touch the series again.

i loved this series. i didnt really read it at a young age though. my friend let me borrow the series when i was like 16 or so adn i read it over the summer. or maybe it was when i was 17 adn pregnant needing things to do besides sit on my ass all day. dont remember. but omg i loved the series! totally strange. and really incestious and such, but still so good. i liked how the main chick (dont rmemeber names its been too long XD) never gave up on her dream to be a ballerina even with all the erm.. random things that happened in her life. The betrayal in the family was crazy, the hate for their mom was immense and the entire series was just woah. i never quite knew where they were going with it but i loved it all te same. not that im into that type of thing, just that they triumphed through so much. (felt really bad for the twins and the rat poison laced donuts though, i seriously cried at that part T.T)
those poor babies... such strict rules... and and and... yeah. XD
