So I am now on spring Break! Yay... However, I have to start and finish a novel by the end of break, so I have a week.

The nevel I have to read is Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.

Have you heard of it?
What do/did you think of it?
Is it an easy read?
Is it a good book?

Do you have anything in mind that might make it a faster of easier read for me? I don't want to spend all break doing this. Dx

I've heard of it but I haven't read it. I wasn't aware it was written by Kurt Vonnegut but now that I am I have to read it. His novel Slaughter House-Five was the best novel I've ever read. He is an amazing author though his writing takes a lot of analyzation and understanding. There are a number of people who complained they couldn't understand Slaughter House-Five at all.

Cat's Cradle is a fantastic book... one of the few Vonnegut books I own and reread often, in fact!
I just lent it to my boyfriend, for making a long flight with long layovers a bit more tolerable, and he finished it within the course of a day. And then called and we discussed the points of the novel and favourite bits for an hour after that.

I've found that though it starts out slow, you get caught up against your will.
Just lay down in a quiet place you won't be disturbed and read for an hour. I bet you won't be able to put it down after your hour is up!
Though it looks like a pretty standard-length novel, my mind usually calls it a short story because the read goes like an avalanche.

Good luck!

Thanks so much!
I wasn't too worried about the reading, but now I'm a little excited.

I've been sick, so maybe now is the best time to start!

I have heard of this book...and I've also read it...and I have to say that I pretty much hated it! I honestly just don't like any Vonnegut's works...it was just strange, and pretty messed up...
