After a stale patch of reading some time ago, that book awakened the desire again. I thought it was very good at the time...So many people seem to have a thing against it i must read it again and see if i agree, since i didn't notice first time around.
After that i read 'Deception Point', 'Digital Fortress' and 'Angles and Demons' and found them all equally enjoyable.

Well, you are right!! There's a movie for it now. I remember the first time the book was launched in the Philippines. Many critics and media are on their way to sabotaging it.. Against the Catholic faith was the reason, they say. But still, surprise, surprise. The book amazingly survived. Anyway, it was pretty cool. You know, the adventure and all. By the way, I'm also a Catholic but it hasn't changed my faith in God one bit.

That book was nice ^_^ I liked Angels and Demons way better, though. It's one of my favourite books <3<3
Right after Harry Potter xP

My Mum told me about the books and I was all "Naaah, leave me alone with such things" but then I heard it should be very good and I couldn't resist reading both of them.
I don't regret that x3

A woman at work loaned me the book and I found it somewhat entertaining, but certainly nothing I'd ever add to my "library" of books...it really just didn't grab my attention very well. It was well written and moved along at a decent clip, but it could have been better in my estimation. There were places where the author muddied things up and I couldn't quite tell where they were going (or were supposed to be going).

I have yet to see the movie. Honestly, I'm not that interested in seeing it....and that's all for today because my cat is biting my arm for attention as I type this! XD

  • I borrowed the movie from Donna recently...and now that I think about it, it's still on my bookshelf. It's still a pretty interesting thing to watch, and even to read, though even though I previously said I'd start reading it again, I haven't started rereading the novel.

the first book of his i read was the DaVinci Code and i liked it. i tryed to read some of his other books but i didnt like the introductions as that were, in my opinion, too much the same, always involving some one dieing in a strange way that you have to read more in order to find out why.

i will admit that it was very, very well written.
but, i'm not that huge a fan of it.
a lot of it sounds possible, but it most likely never
happened =\

the book was well written and exciting, but i like angels and deamons better.
the way the bible was written about in the Davinci Code, was deffinatly desiarable.

Angels and Demons was better. I haven't finished The DaVinci Code but I've seen the movie. Let's just say I have no respect for Dan Brown because of how he makes Da Vinci look with all the stuff about the priory of sion, which Da Vinci was not in... I think I'll stop there or I won't stop ranting about how much I hate Dan Brown for bashing Da Vinci, the genius that came from a birth out of wed lock.

well, i've read the book and seen the movie and i must say, it's incredible and amazes me with every word

but, i was wondering
how much of it is true?
there's a lot of facts and such which made me wonder how much of it is fiction

like Mona Lisa meaning Amon L'isa, god and goddess and Christianity making women look bad

did he make those things up or is it true? ;x

That's a good question. I'd think that most of the facts are true. It's pretty hard to write a novel like think without researching. But some bits might be fiction.

I just finished reading this book last night.

It was certainly very interesting, the details and coincidences that Brown noted about the artwork in The Da Vinci Code.

I read Angels and Demons a while back as well, I think they have their similarities not only in writing style but plot.

I don't usually read these type of action/thriller books so it was refreshing.

Aw man I miss this book. It's hanging around in my bookshelf in the next room, waiting to be loved. I remember when I first got the book, my overly-religious aunt got SUPER upset and SUPER mad at me and started yelling at me because I had the book. Then she started preaching to me about a priest's opinion of the book.

In my head I'm screaming, "SHUT UP, it's JUST a book. Yes I realize we're Catholic but this is entertainment!" Ugh. I know my mom likes it, though, so she supports my interest in reading. As for the clues...shoot, I didn't figure ANY of them out : ) I just enjoyed the reading time.

I saw the movie before I read the book, but the book itself was interesting.
