So Ive read a few of her books. The Mists of Avalon, The Forest House and one other in that series but I cant remember the name off hand XP
But in any case I loved them. They were awesome in my eyes. Mists of Avalon of course being my favorite. Its a King Arthur tale told from his half sisters point of view- Morgaine. SO Amazing!

If you like science fiction, you should try her Darkover novels. It's a very extensive series (she's got a novel for just about every character in it... lol), but worth it if you've got the drive to get through all of them. It's quite epic.
She happens to be one of my mom's favorite authors. I have only made it about half way through Mists of Avalon, but I really enjoyed it. I am pretty sure that over the years my mom has read every novel that Ms. Bradley has ever written.
HA! found you... No, i don't think i've ever read them... I liked the movie though, even if it was a bit sad... :P
theyre up north somewhere youll have to borrow them. youre a feminazi you would like them XD and there are some weird romance scenes... XD incestious even...

The bad thing is that the book isnt mine I´m just bowowing it.. for a couple of years o__0;
I find that while she's a good author, most of her books are too detailed and descriptive leaving little or no room to the imagination. I tend to grow bored rather quickly with those types of novels as I want to have some free reign to imagine the characters as I will.
Also I dislike that her series tend to be the kind where one must read them in order or you're terribly confused by reading the book.
I keep trying to work my way through them in hopes that eventually a light will dawn. I appreciated all that she did for Fantasy as a genre though.

i didnt have a problem reading most of her series out of order. they still made sense to me. <3
you just find out more of where the characters came from what what it took to get to where they are.
she has done an amazing thing for the fantasy genre though. and it makes me happy. ^__^
I kinda like the detailed ness of her books too. makes it more difficult for people to make movies that dont follow the plot or have characters that look correctly XD i have it when i picture a character one way then a director comes along and chooses an actor that looks nothing like how i pictured them.

lol. ive done that with a few books. like 5 years ago i borrowed te flowers in t attic series... and i still have them... at my moms house where i grew up. XD i feel kinda bad but i dont think the person i borrowed them from even remembers. lol
I've only read The Mists of Avalon, plus a handful from that sci-fi series of hers -- which is it? The one where they colonize a planet that has a mind of its own... *searches Amazon* Darkover! A few of those, which I didn't really get into. But I really loved Mists of Avalon. Since I grew up on the Disneyfied legend of King Arthur, it was great to read her extended, feminist-view tale. It seems like she did a lot of research into when the Arthurian events might have actually happened, and created such a rich world with the Druidic beliefs! Yes, it's a bit disgusting when

the two siblings wind up having sex
, but the way she writes it is so sensitive.
@Cyzzane: I agree, she can be a bit effusive and flowery at times, but as a result I could almost visualize what was going on. Plus, I skim descriptions, usually!
I got about two thirds of the way though Mists and said hey wait, Morgan is happy, Arthur is happy. Gwen and Lance are angst but not being cruel to any one.
I stopped reading and asked a friend how it ended. I am glad I did, I am happy to have left Morgan in a happy spot, I couldn't stand to see her get all sad and mopey again.
This book also started the undefeated run of half read Arthur books that has lasted for over ten years now. no matter how hard I try I just can not seem to finish a book about the knights.
