Well the tub actually... I like to soak and read a good book... It's really sooothing after a long day... |
I like to read, study or do homework outside. I love letting the sun kiss my hair as I'm caught up in a good book.

Usually at a desk, or sometimes out in a shop or something. :D Those places are just so comfy! I can't stand reading outside though, the sun is so... bright. And on my bed I get distracted real easily. Sometimes, I'd walk and read, but then I'd have to be careful of bumping into people. :oops:

I'm easily distracted otherwise, so if I'm going to be on a long plane or train or bus ride, I'll bring just a book along. It's really the only way I can get any reading done. XD |
Personally, it really doesn't matter where I read because I tend to get so wrapped up in my reading, I don't notice any discomforts, unless it's just plain painful. My favorite place to read is curled up on the sofa when no one else is around....I just loathe having my reading constantly interrupted.
When I was growing up, and my father had been stationed in Spain for 5 years, I used to climb up into an oak tree, lean my back agains the trunk, and read a book from cover to cover. If I couldn't finish a book before bedtime, I'd sneak a flashlight into bed with me and read under the covers til the book was finished. This made for some really late nights, at times. I think I was reading two to three books a day back then (things like Nancy Drew, the Bobbsey Twins, The Black Stallion, etc). |
I like to read outside on this swinging couch/chair thing we have. I forgot the word for it at the moment. But anyways in summer when its really warm i sit on it with a pillow behind me and just swing while reading. Good times <3

During the summer I love to read by the pool or go for a walk and read somewhere in the woods. During the winter I like to read in bed or the couch but where ever I read I like to be warm. I hate being cold and this is more so when I read.

Geez, my favourite place to read. Hm. I guess it varies. Most of the time I just sit down in a comfy chair, put on some music, grab a drink and start reading. But I like reading in my bed too. I always read a few chapters before I go to bed, it helps to keep the nightmares away. n__n;;

I have alot of trouble reading on my back... my arm always ends up too tired, especially with hardcovers!
I will read in a car if I'm desperate, but I usually end up nauseous... I just love reading. But I'd say curled up in bed, or curled up on the couch with a blanket, lap at my side, my mother reading nearby as well... That has to be the best I think! I love reading outside, but sometimes it's too cold or windy. Or too sunny and I get a sunburn! I prefer the safety of indoors. ^_^ |
I prefer to read in the tub, on the couch, or in a hammock. Really, any place that I can relax and have my back supported is the ideal place, because the more relaxed I am and the less my back hurts, the more I can get into and full enjoy what I'm reading.
Also, when I was a kid I used to read in a weird way; I'd kneel in from of a chair or couch, prop my book and arms in the chair seat, and read like that. Or if I felt like laying down, I'd aim one of those old box fans at the bed, burrow under a thin sheet, and read like that. I was a weird kid. :lol: |
Snuggled in my bed. Unless I'm desperate for some peace and quiet, then I hide out in the bathroom. :3 I'm also glad to find out I'm not the only one who does this. :mrgreen: Though I've never read while talking a bath. O_o I'm usaully... taking a bath.

Anywhere that is comfortable and quiet is good for me. I usually find myself reading outside or curled up around my pillows in bed.

I love reading on the upstairs living room floor, but that is only good news if its sunny outside. I love to read curled up just about anywhere. Normally I am on my boyfriend's bed while he plays games on his Xbox 360 or Wii.

anywhere is good, except at school! its very annoying at times. xD but yepp, mostly in my room. i like comfy areas to read. <3 |
It doesn't usually matter where I read in order to enjoy a book X3 I actually like to imagine the story as I go along, so I quite literally tune everything around me out X3
I do rather like sitting in a plush chair or sitting up in bed or somewhere I can be comfy for long periods of time. My ideal spot would be by a window with a slight breeze :3 I don't like reading outside >.< Wind makes the pages flutter, sun burns the skin, and we all know about rain and books I'm sure. Maybe on a cloudy day, or maybe sunny but not hot and in lots of shade. |
My favorite place to read is my bed with the fan on, the window open and some music playing. I can actaully enjoy reading books when all of that is happening, actaully im usually reading manga

I normally read sitting in my bed or on the swing in my backyard. Well, I rarely read in the backyard, but when I do I love it. I don't do much reading though considering not many books interest me I suppose. If I could fine books I enjoyed you;d most likely find me on the swing listening to birds sing while I read the lovely book.

My favourite place to read would be by my balcony. I would throw a rug and some cushions into the corner just by the balcony's sliding door and curl up with a book and a cup of green tea and while the whole afternoon away. It's just a very comfortable place to be on a mild, windy day, a sunny spot shining through the glass panes and everything is all so quiet. My best way to spend weekends when I have nothing on my agenda.

I have two places I love to read. In front of the lit fireplace on the white rug in my house or under the oak tree in the garden behind my house with the fountain going surrounded by all the blooming flowers around me.

But... My favorite places are in bed. ^^; Not very original I know. And in my car... I'm the only person who has the keys to my car so it makes a quiet comfy private place for me to read. (Usually when I'm waiting to pick up my brother and sister from school - enjoying the peace before they get in the car) :) |
i used to read on my bed.
and when we were at this house that we were working on, i would sit in the window seat and read sometimes. i like window seats. now i just read on the internet XD lol >> |
I love to read curled up in bed until i knock out.
I can't fall asleep any other way. the worst though is getting drool on your book., you're face being stuck to it, or lying on it and wake up with a bad back. |
