yeah i couldn't put the book down when i first read it and I read it until 2 am on a school day. the book was twilight <3
There are certain books that I want that I can't get right now. I really want to be immersed in them now. *sigh* Fablehaven by Brandon Mull, Septimus Heap by Angie Sage, and Swordpoint by Ellen Kushner. If it's mostly interesting to me, and I'm not bored with it, I will get like that. And not put it down, it's a good feeling. =3
I do this all the time I get so absorbed in a book so very fast that I just can't stop reading! I did it with the Enchanted Forest Chronicles, All of Gail Carson Levine's books that I have read thus far, the Harry Potter books, the Tamora Pierce books I've read, and just so many others I just can't name them all!
I'd have to say that I've done this with Rob Thurman's books, both the Cal Leandros series and the new book of hers. I've also done this with Karen Chance's books. Their writing was really good from the get go and I just got sucked into the story and I couldn't put it down, only when I really had to sleep did I put it down. Otherwise I would have kept reading well into the morning hours.

I have trouble putting most books down anyway. XD Most recently, DaVinciCode and Chronicles of Narnia. :3 I love to pick days and just sit on my bed with a book..just getting lost in there. ^^
..I didn't know Pride and Prejudice had a book! =o ..wow..I loved that movie, and I forgot to list it in favorite movies. D: |
I did that with the Erin Hunter books. It was getting to the end of the school year and I wanted to get some more Accelerating Reader Points. They were points you got for reading a book then taking a quiz on and getting to get something special for them. Well, they were thin and I read fast, so I picked up a few.
Well, after I started, I haven't been able to stop unless I haven't been able to get it. Well, now I'm on Warriors A New Prophecy Moonrise. |
This happens to me alot, though most of the books this happens with are fantasy books. Some of the ones that I couldnt put down were, The Warriors Series by Erin Hunter, Unwound by Neal Shusterman, and Armageddon's Children by Terry Brooks. Though these are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. It also happens when Ive been waiting for a book to come out for a long time, the moment I get ahold of it, I wont put it down till im dont reading. Like the Harry Potter series.
Yeah, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I stayed up till three in the morning on a school night reading it.
Yes, many many times. I often found that with the Harry Potter books, along with the Magyk book. Actually most books I read I love and find it hard to stop reading them.
Harry Potter! But of course I always forced myself to put it down XD I've only finished a book in one day once and never doing it again. I hated it. I forgot almost everything that happened and had no time to live in the suspense of wanting to know what happened next. So I force myself to put books down no matter how good they are.
Haha, I get what you're talking about. I hate it when in the book it gets so good and the bell rings for me to change classes and I just don't want to fricken go! Ugh, It gets to me when that happens. xD
Yeah, it happens from time to time.
Haha, it happens to me all the time, haha. I'm a bookaholic. I also have a tendency to complete blank out all that's going on around me, and even occasionally lose time while reading. xD |
Oh yeah. I've got a lot of those experiences. The most recent ones were from reading J.R. Tolkien's Children of Hurin, Eragon, the Everworld series by K.A. Applegate, and Dan Brown's Angels & Demons.
The White Giraffe. Even though it was way below my reading level, I was obsessed. If I got bored, a second later I'd continue reading. And The Black Stallion. I loved that book. ^^ And The Diary of Anne Frank. But I only made it to the twelfth page. It mysteriously dissapeared. O_O
Even though I didn't really enjoy the book, twilight was one that I couldn't put down, I think the one I was glued to most was 'The riddles of Epsilon' by Christine Norton-Shaw.
The Blue Girl by Charles de Lint.

Andrews Chocolat-Joanne Harris Sleep, Pale Sister-Joanne Harris Interview with a Vampire-Anne Rice Anglophile-I can't remember the author Darling Jim-Christian Moerk Star Trek: the novelization-Alan Dean Foster A Great and Terrible Beauty-Libba Bray |
Yes. A few weeks ago I started to read the first book in a trilogy. I read "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. I just could not put that book down. Very good book. <3
Lol almost every book i pick up is almost impossible for me to put down - I am a big book reader and i love reading
I was reading A Bend In the Road, and I couldn't put it down. I finished in...like hours. xD
I tend to do that a lot. But since I read really fast, it usually isn't too much of a problem for me, except when I decide to read instead of studying for a test or doing homework due the next day.
Every book Ipick up is difficult to put down. I'm the kind of person who has to keep on reading to see what happens in the end. Unless it is a book I do not like.

Yes, that happens to me alot. When I read Ella Enchanted for the first time I couldn't put it down. It was really good. |
Oh my, yes. But that reaction seems to be more related to the type of book than how much I'm enjoying it--no matter how good they are, I don't tend to read books in one sitting that don't have a lot of action/comedy.
Last books I remember not being able to put down were The Lies of Locke Lamora and its sequel, and some Jasper Fforde novels. |
