So as of the late I have dropped my sudden love for all that is Harry Potter, Tolkien, Nora Roberts, and various other books and picked up a few forgotten realms series. I recently, as in a few months ago, finished the daughter of the drow series, and I have to admit, even though there are different authors for almost every book, they are really good. Right now I am currently delving into the Drizzt Do'Urden series, I'm only in book twelve, there seems to be about 16 books in all about him, and its REALLY good, I can not seem to put my book down....
What say you? Whats your favorite forgotten realms book/series?

I want to read all of the Forgotten Realms series, but have only read book one of the Moonshea series. The rest of the books are on my list of books to read eventually. I love Fantasy type books and can not wait to read them... eventually ^_^

I thought the Harpers were pretty cool, but I never read the more acclaimed series, just the more gimmicky novels.

Back in elementary school, oh about 7 or 8 years now, I found Shdowdale and Waterdeep. And I fell in love, unfortunetly I could never find them again *tear*and eventually forgot their exsistance. But thanks to you I remembered them, and did a google search and found that they were part of the Avatar Series. So guess what I'm going shopping for within this week! *giggles*

I've only read the ones that R.A.Salvatore has put out. XD He's a great fantasy writer, and even though I've never actually played Forgotten Realms, the books were just amazing. And the comic series they made off his books is pretty damn awesome, too. :3

I'm not exactly fond of the setting (a super powerful I-could-destroy-this-city-hands-down magic user behind each corner - somehow takes the... magic out of magic :P ), but I quite enjoyed reading some of the books, especially Salvatore's back in the days. I was dearly in love with Cadderly, and the first 6 books about Drizzt were simply fantastic.
(I grew a bit bored with the later Drizzt books - a bit too much emphasize on fighting and look-how-cool-I-am, though Artemis Entreri kind of made up for that. But I completely stopped reading the whole series after Salvatore did the one thing no author should ever do - let's call it the "Wulfgar incident" for those who read that far. )
Of the non-Salvatore series I liked Dennings's Return of the Archwizards best. Not sure why, but it could be connected to my love for Evereska.

I've only read the Drizzt stuff. I've developed a following for R.A Salvatore after I saw him in person at a book signing and the pople I live with brought me autographed books from their convention earlier this year. His son is a really good writer too.

I want to read all of the Forgotten Realms books. They all look so good, especially since I love that fantasy stuff. I'm currently on the third book, Sojourn, of the Legend of Drizzt (Do'Urden) series. That is some good stuff right there!

I am not surprised by how many times the Drizzt books came up. I've read all of them, but I have to admit that after Sea of Swords my interest waned a little bit. I think The Halfling's Gem will always be my favorite. The Cleric Quintet is on my list to read, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I really want to start on the Cleric Quintet. I love Caderly and that whole group of characters. But is Drizzt included in the series?
