I read Uglies and started Pretties... I just forgot to finish it. I liked the series. I usually like books that are written about perfect societies.. because they are never perfect. I love reading the author's take on a perfect society.

I shall resume the series after I finish the Anita Blake series.

Haven't read them yet.

But they sound good, so I'll put them on my list.

A friend of mine got me into them and I read Uglies and Pretties. I tried getting Specials from the library but they're always checked out because they're so popular.

They're different books, and I love the environmental setting in the story.

I read all 3 about a year ago. I thought they were really good, and I'm glad they are being recognized now. Extras was okay.
There's another series by Scott Westerfield, but I can't remember the names of all three books. The first one is called The Midnighters. If you all liked Uglies, Pretties and Specials you might wanna try it out. I started reading it, and it's pretty interesting so far.
If I had to be in a group, I would have to be a special.

My favorite of the series was the last one. Extras. It was so awesome!!
And If I had to pick....I would think I belong to the Specials group. xD
They are awesome! Hard core and they, from the description, they look awesome! xD

I have read this series and in my opinion it was really good (I read all 4 including extras). I would probably say my favorite would have to be Extras ;)

Anyways if I was a character in the book I would love to belong to the Uglies group that is before I became a Smokies :P

I've read all four books, and I loved them!!
I totally became obsessed of Scott Westerfeld when I finished reading those books, and so far I've read the Peeps books and So Yesterday, but I want to read The Midnighters series now because I've heard so much good feedback about them. He is such an excellent author!!!!!
But of my favorite in the books, I would have to say Pretties because they're beautiful people who don't have any cae in the world. But, I would definitely be an Extra with a rank of about . . . . 400, 000 or so, because not very many people know who I am.

I loved this series. I thought it was very original. I mean how many other authors write about us killing ourselves off because of something we created to destroy something we use everyday. I think my favorite book out of the three I have read was Specials. I'm not sure why but I think it might have been because she got to be with someone she loved to saved the world. I don't know what group I would be a part of. I think a cutter. The idea of all the flash tattoos makes me wish they were real. Their speed and strength and such is something I wish for as well.

I lurve them. The whole futuristic world Scott Westerfeld created is just... *swoons.*... amazing. I think I'd be either a Smoky or a Cutter. Like, totally opposite of each other, but whatever. I loved Extras. It took me till like the end of the book, though, to realise it took place in an Asian city. xD

"I've only read the first book, and I can already tell you it's a damn-well addicting read! X_x

And y'know, as [email protected]$$ as the specials are, they're too dull for me to want to be. xD I wanna be an ugly! They're adventurous, yo!"

Personally, I loved these books. There's also a fourth book, which is called 'Extras'. Again... I also read the books before they became huge best sellers. Pretties wasn't out before I read Uglies.
I have to say I'd probably be a Smokie.
