I adore the books! I think they're amazing. Thinking about their time is so amazing, I would love to live there!

If I was a character in the books, I'd want to live in Diego, since you can get any surge you want and be as extreme as you'd like. I'd really like the freedom.

My favorite book was Uglies. And if I could be one of the characters, I would totally be a Crim!

I absolutely loved the books!!! I loved Tally and Zane, they were the best characters ever!

If I were one of them, I'd be a Pretty Manga-head, or a surge monkey ^^

I'm rereading the series. I'm falling in love with it again. I'm on Specials, and I think I like Extras best. I do like how the rest of the series is european and Extras is based in a Japanese (I think) society.

I've read the specials ^^ I believe there is also the extras or something of the sort ( I was told there was one additional volume in the series) But the series is absolutely beautiful and i would suggest you go and raid the bookstores for them xD (please don't really :x)

I've heard of these books, I haven't picked any up though.

I've read Uglies a few months back (after my little sister said she enjoyed it so much). I was kinda bored.. it was an interesting read, but I guess I'm too use to paranormal romance and 'horror' to get into too many teen reads now-a-days. v_v

i really loved the series and would reccomend it. My fav book would have to be specials ( even though the ending is sad) i realy liked it.

I read these and loved them, I would have to say my favourite book was uglies. Pretties was just annoying me, those people where idiots :illgetu:

Haven't read these books yet, but I saw how popular this thread is and looked them up online somewhere else. I think I'm going to read them eventually. They sound interesting.

I love that series by Scott Westerfeld. It makes you think more about the price of looking pretty.

Though, it does feel odd calling it a trilogy when it has four books in the series, but the fourth book wasn't meant to be written.. it just somehow got written.. XP

Awesome books! I love Westerfeld and the way he writes. My favorite thing about the books was that even though they seemed really lighthearted and fun, there were still some really heavy messages and thinking points. Westerfeld does a really good job of portraying a dystopian society, and is able to write a story which keep us interested. I wasn't 100% about Extras, but I did really like they way he presented the technology, and how it doesn't really seem all that far off.

Pretties and Extra's were my favs. XD Although people tend to hate those two the most.

I've finished the whole series a year or so ago.

I love love love love love this series. The uglies, pretties, specials and extras although I think the extras should be part of a different set since it's not quite the same. It's the same world, different girl.

But the first three were A-mazing. It was so heartwrenching having her go through all those changes and then the two loves was like. O.o must see what happens next!! XD

The first three were probably the best books I've ever read.

I enjoyed the series. (Though I'm pretty sure I remember being EXTREMELY disappointed with Extras, since it was a different girl and (I think..) I found out some unpleasant stuff regarding characters I had liked in the other three..
I might read them again, just for the hell of it.

@xLilNekox: Let's hope they don't butcher it like they did with Eragon. I loved that movie... till I read the book and saw how much better it was in comparison.

OMG I love that series!

If I was a character, I would be a Special since they're so cool. I didn't really like the character Aya Fuse in Extras. She was really stupid and she just wanted to be famous. That's just stupid.
