I think I am a fast reader, every book I get I finish it in at least 7 hours and I always finish every book I read the same day I start it.

It depends.
I read the last two Harry Potter books in three days, but I took frequent breaks. I read Night in less than two hours, but that was constant reading.

I read the last two Harry Potter books in about 4 hours each, and the last book in the Twilight series in 3 hours 10 minutes. I read a ton, and I've resorted to fanfiction so that I don't go into debt trying to keep stuff around for me to read. (though this no eyes thing right now is making reading slightly harder...I wish I could get eyes to go onto my avatar)

The fastest I've ever read was 18 minutes
But it was the book Green Angel by Alice Hoffman
Which only has about 120 pages...

I can read a 300 page book in 5 hours, but for that to happen I need to be REALLY into it, and that just doesn't happen as much anymore, which ultimatly sucks. I'd love to be able to read all day long, but my attention span doesn't last anymore ^^'

It all depends on what kind of book i'm reading.
I'm all into romance, not super lovey dovey kind...but like teen romances and what not.
Those only take me a few hours to read.
:3
I usually can clear like three or four big books in a day.

Generally I can read a thousand pages in twelve hours though it has to be an extremely good book for me to be able to do that.

Um, a day I guess, I don't usually time my reading, though sometimes it varies if Ailsa is in a moody mode.

I can read 200 pages in about an hour to an hour and a half. So it depends on the length and depth of the novel. I can read a Louis L'Amours western in about 30 minutes. If I am reading while doing other things, it takes me longer, but if I sit down and commit to a novel it usually goes by pretty fast. I've also found the thicker the novel the slower I read them.
Now that I read on a Kindle, it usually takes me less time, but I don't know how many pages I am reading. If I am reading an ebook on the computer, I can zip through them like water. The wider the pages are, the faster I can read.

I've probably read through a book would be in a couple days. With the Septimus Heap series, I read the books I had as much as I could. It was so good. :)

I read "Trickster's Choice" by Tamora Pierce in 4 hours, and "Trickster's Queen" in 6 hours...
Sometimes I just... can't stop. You know how you read and then you look at the clock and you see it's 3am... but you aren't at the end of the chapter? Yeah that's me... but when I reach the end of the chapter I feel the urge to keep going even though it's late and I should get some sleep... sooner or later I hit the end of the book then I'm DYING to read the next in the series (it if it is apart of a series) ...

I've read all 7 Harry Potter books in the duration of 3 days. =) That was fun, and yes I did sleep! It was very fun....I kind of wanna do it again! =s I always thought I was a slow reader, but everyone else says I'm fast. @[email protected] I wish I were slow, though, 'cause then I'd have more time to enjoy the book! =)

I dunno about fast reading, but I have read over forty books at one time before. Chapter by chapter (no bookmarks!). It's fun. If you haven't ever tried it, well, give it a whirl and tell me how it goes.

I read an anthology of all three of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials in just under two days. Plus the extras he stuck in there as some sort of deleted scenes.

There was one summer where I read two of Piers Anthony's "Xanth" novels a day. That was a fun summer. Granted, those are not the most challenging books to read, but they are highly entertaining. For more involved novels, I can usually read one such as Dostoyevsky's "Brothers Karamazov" in two or three days.

I've read a 30-chapter novel ( Sunrise of the Warriors series, PM me if you know it.) in one afternoon. My reading teacher literally said, 'I know you are going to read this very quickly, so I am going to give this to you at the end of the day, and you will give it to me tomorrow.'
