Exactly why I want to write a book!
I want my baby (my book) to be popular
and well known. It's just a feeling I have
that the characters are alive and need to
be heard. It's a strange way that I think.

I really hope to someday write a book, and
I have tons of ideas, but starting is always
hard for me and so in the ending and boring parts
and parts that include more human actions and emotions.
So, to stretch out my thoughts and imagination I
roleplay.

My mom has writen three books, but she doesn't know
how to publish them and she doesn't have the money
right now to pay to publish. She likes to write vampire novels.
I myself will probably try to write a bit of everything.

I haven't been here in a while! It's amazing how my thread grew... :)

Oh, demon/vampire books... not my thing. And I really don't like books where all the good characters die out. If I were to write a book, it would have some sort of magic in it, like time travel or a cursed person.

I want to write a book, but I usually don't have enough inspiration and can't write anymore after the 2nd chapter. My parents try to encourage me but I never have any ideas or ideas for titles.

-nodds- i used to but not anymore, now i just have a dream of becoming an artist ^_^ lol but i know someone who is working on a book. Her name is: Sasha1985

she's really nice and suffering from a writer's block for a vampire roleplay i am participating in. Yes, roleplaying is as far as i can go with the story writing, -shrugs- it's just not something i have a gift for. In my past lives i was never a writer so i just dont have that natural gnack for it lol. Oh well, and good luck with writing your books!

I've wanted to write a book for a long as I can remember.
I'd really like to do it with a co-writer, though I might have to do it on my own..
But I have a plot that all my friends think are awesome.
It's not your average fantasy in feudal japan. :P
I'm just really bad at being in so many people's heads at the same time.

Yes, but I have been working on the same manuscript for two years. I think I am just too afraid to turn it in and have them tell me that two years of work is nothing but crap...

I would do it, because I love to write and a lot of the characters I make up, usually with a tad bit of help from some of the things I read but not very much. I don't think I woulcome very famous but I might be able to get some fans.

I've always dreamed of writing books, for as long as I can remember.

I've written stories ever since I was able to hold a sticky green crayon in my fist, and to be honest, it's never even crossed my mind that I'd ever do anything else.
I've always known I was an author, and I always knew I'd make writing my career.

So far now I've had quite a few things published; lots of poetry (although I don't particularly enjoy writing it), a few short stories, magazine articles and one childrens' book.
Right now, I'm writing my first full-length novel. I've still got a long way to go, and sometimes I feel like I'll never finish it, but I'm really excited about the storyline, and its already generated some interest from a few publishers, so I'm hopeful.

Do you think you'd become very famous or win a few awards? I don't know.

@Cherish: I've been writing stories about that long too. It was 5-panel comic strips. I wonder where those went. Probably the garbage. :( Oh well, they weren't that great anyway.

@Ahnemesis: Ten years! :O You must really enjoy that story to keep writing for so long. I see why you'd only want your family to enjoy something you've been putting your hard work into for so long.

I think that I would like maybe to write one book in my lifetime. Likely more of a side thing than a solid job because being an author can really be shaky. Judging from the writing skills I have now, I won't be famous. Award-wise, likely not. But I would love to know if there are people out there that enjoys my book. =)

Ti be honest - no. I don't think I'm good at writing. Plus you can never guess, if everything you write might be good and what if people won't find interesting your work? I think it's too depressive to start with...

Actually, it's one of my dreams to write and publish a novel... and have it be at least somewhat successful. I mean, I'm not nearly so ambitious as to aspire to be the next J.K. Rowling or anything nearly so grandiose, but I do hope to do somewhat well with my novel(s?). I actually have an idea for a story that I developed in my Writing class this past year, and I wrote a good 20 or so pages on it for my summative... but looking over it now, I realize how much I'm going to have to work on. My story idea is not only not very well thought out, but I need to think a little more on what my "world rules" are, otherwise I won't be very sure how all my creatures are going to interract. I can't have things unbalanced and whatnot. Bah. So complicated. XD

I've actually already started writing two books. I have no idea if I'll ever finish either of them, but the act of writing makes me happy by itself. Maybe I'll share the work with a few close friends and it'll never go past that, but that's okay by me.

One of them is my poor attempt at making it in the fantasy novel world. I have doubts if it'll ever see the light of publishing day but it's fun to play with all the same.

The second is a more self-deprecating humor thing. I really love the way it's turning out and already have the chapters worked out. I write in it when I'm feeling a humor groove hit me.

@aonith: I see your point. But, it's also great when your book does become a hit.

@Lyna_Kae: Don't you hate that? I often look back on my really old stories (old The Sims albums, L.A. homework, etc.) and wonder what I was thinking. They're not very good at all and don't have much thought put into them. I guess at the time they were my best works.

@Masquerade: Yeah, a lot of people who have posted keep their work for family and friends only. I'm more of a short story writer rather than epic novels. At the most, I'll write 3 pages and then I'm done. Any further, and my creativity can't take it.

@`Y U K I: You can try to mix the two and illustrate for books. Hehe.

I wrote a book once when I was a teenager, but I've never gone through and fixed it up, I haven't had the nerve to look at some of it again because I know it will need so much work. I think if I had the nerve worked up I would definitely write a full story again though, especially since it's so much easier these days to self publish. It's worth the chance.
