Wow that's a lot of books! And... nope, I've never heard of any of them.... At least "Brand New World" isn't in that list! Or it would have taken you a lot of time! I think that book is as long as the bible xD

PS: Good luck reading, enjoy~! ^_^''

So far, this school year we've had to read....

o1. Sing Down the Moon - Scott O' Dell
A small historical fiction book about a Navajo girl/woman living in Valley De Chelly, and her life.
How her people lived, what they encountered, and obstacles that had to be overcome.

o2. Beyond the Burning Time - Kathryn Lasky
A small historical fiction book about the Salem witch trials. The motives behind them, people involved, what life was like back then, and how it all unfolded.

(and currently)o3. Johnny Tremain - Esther Forbes

Still reading this one. It's about a boy living during colonial times, specifically in the year 1773 and a few years following.

We had to read the old man and the see and of mice and men. Otherwise I love to read for run. I've read all of the serious of unfortunate events books and all the harry potter books. I've also read a book called larklight, it was about a futuristic world where live in space. I personally love to read manga. Both shonen and shojo. I've read almost all of the rurouni kenshin volume. Some of my favorite manga include, Naruto, Bleach Bo bo bo, One piece, Absolute boyfriend and Yu yu hakusho. I also love to read the goosebumps series. I have a small collecdtion on my bookshelf, choose your own nightmare are my favorite though they're hard to find. I read shonen jump every month.

We don't do much reading.

And I'm thankful for that. Always ruins perfectly good books.

Our 2 for this year are Speak and The Five People You Meet in Heaven.

I don't take English any more but in my last couple of years we read Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Great Expectations, Animal Farm, To Kill a Mockingbird and A View From The Bridge (which is a play but we read it like a book). We were going to read Of Mice and Men but we changed to read To Kill A Mockingbird.

From your list I've read Oedipus Rex and Hamlet in high school.

I'll see if I can remember some of the books that were required throughout school.

Trapped on the Ice
Le Mort d'Arthur
A Midsummer Night's Dream x2 (I had to read it two years in a row)
To Kill a Mockingbird
Hamlet
Macbeth
A Handmaid's Tale
Brave New World
Oedipus Rex
Utopia
1984
A Clockwork Orange

And that's all I can remember but I think there was more because I don't remember anything I read from grade 10

I'm taking AP World this year, even though I'm a Sophmore, and I have to read five books this year. Nothing special, but some of these books arelong, others are short, and one I can't even believe wer'e reading in this class. Here's the list.

Things Fall Apart
The Walking Drum
Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit
Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China
All Quiet On The Western Front

So far two of hem are okay, but when I started to read The Walking Drum I instantly fell in LOVE with it.

We're doing British literature this year. I have to read Pride and Prejudice, Brave New World, and Huckelberry Finn by the 31st. And I've only read 1 out of 3. Darn procrastination! =_____=;;;

I almost died reading Their Eyes Were Watching God. I don't mind dialect, but when the entire book is in a deep southern voice it drove me mad. My class also had to read Of Mice and Men and Night that year.
While reading Night, which is about the Holocaust, the class discussed the book every few days. Our teacher said if you felt no emotional response reading the book there's something wrong with your heart. Well, I suppose I don't have one. =D That, or I built an immunity to anything Holocaust-related, considering I've had to read a book on the event every year for three, at least, years.
Bah, my teachers stink at picking good books, in my opinion.

Gah... I have four literature subjects x_x I'll just list a few books from my English reading list, I don't remember them all and I'm too tired to think who the authors were:

- Beowulf
- Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
- Daisy Miller: A Study
- Part of "Leaves of Grass"
- Of Mice and Men
- The Old Man and the Sea
- Disgrace
- Lord of the Flies

That's only a tiny fraction of what we had to read and I listed nothing of the German reading list, but I can't remember any other texts at the moment.

I was in AP Language last year, and the books I remember having to read were Red Badge of Courage, East of Eden, Huck Finn, and Great Gatsby. I'm sure there were more, but those are what come to mind, and what we spent the most time on.

I'm not in school anymore, but when I was we really didn't have a list. We just asked the teacher, she'd look at the book (lenght, vocabulary, theme, etc), and tell us if we could use it or not.
Only book I've read from your list is Persuasion. But then.. I've read almost all Jane Austen books.
The only book I can remember I was forced to read was Night in freshman year.

Wow. That's quite a large list. I don't really like reading that much. I'm not in school right now, but I had to read Cry, The Beloved Country by Alan Paton for my summer homework.

We read Prodigal Summer, Unspun, finding facts in a world of disinformation (one of the worst books ever!), and Sidartha (one of the best books ever!) I start school in 2 weeks, so I'm not sure what else we'll have to read.

Wow, I only have to read two books. owo
But I didn't find out about it untill this month, and one of them is quite large, so I think I'm pretty screwed. XD

The first is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, I think it's pretty good. :]
A fictional story, which I like. X]

The second we got to choose, and chose Darwin's Black Box because it had the shortest title. o ____o;; I've flipped through it a bit and it looks quite complicated. x___X

I have 16 days to finish these and I'm only 1/3 done through the first book XD;;;

I know last year we read:
100 Years of Solitude
Into the Wild
King Lear
The Fountainhead
Pride and Prejudice
Lord of the Flies
The Kite Runner

may have been others, I hear this summer's reading assignment is called Three Cups of Tea. the books we read over the course of the school year always seemed to change, our school was a little wonky so we missed out on a lot of the classic books to have read so many other books got added in. Honestly though I hated having to read them, I always found something enjoyable in all the books they assigned us
