So I was trying to figure out where to put a book I bought today on my overflowing bookshelf, and got to wondering if there are very many other people as nerdy as me. So here's my bookshelf, now show me yours!



The sad part is, I have more laying arouond the rest of the house.

We have several book shelfs in my house. Sad thing is that I live in a one bedroom apartment...

I have three full bookcases in my house, and bookboxes in my garage (equal to at least one library-sized bookshelf)~

I've been working for a couple of years now, so majority of my money goes to adding more books on the shevles. x]

My mom and dad both read insane amounts before they hooked up, so the garage is laced with Sci-fi horror and Romance novels. xD

I buy some manga now and then, but I get all my bookies free :}

I get my books 30% off due to where I work, but it still ends up being a lot of money. lol

ah I'd show off my collection, but since I've moved out of my home temporarily I only have about half of my collection with me. I absolutely adore books so I get them whenever I can. but since my family has always been pretty poor, I usually get used books that people are giving away. which is just fine with me. my sister is always bringing me used books that the library gives away. I makes me happy x3

Nono, I am a regular member of a Youth Club that gives each member a free book, if they participate in the discussion. :) It's very fun, and so far I've gotten more than a year's worth of books for free. :lol:
I also get them as gifts for every occasion.. I like books better than anything else I could get for a gift. :3 I got books and a tiny bit of candy for easter. <3

Also, I'm only 13 at the moment, so I don't feel bad about never paying for books xD

I apologise for all the non-books getting in the way, but as you can see it's far too handy to have it at the end of my bed. As well as that I have a box of books I don't read very often, and my parents have an identical bookcase I sometimes go and snaffle books from.

I buy my own books, but rarely at full price. I'm probably keeping my local charity shops open with my cheap-book buying habits. Getting a hardback Stephen Fry book and an 80 year old copy of Edgar Allen Poe short stories (which 79 years ago was given to a George J Thompson as a prize for art) in a 2-for-£1 deal just makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

And I'm not taking pictures of my messy shelves, sorry. I've got books double stacked, from floor to ceiling. And right now they're rather messy.

I don't really have one. Most of my books are downstairs on the bookcase there. I have some of my more treasured ones, on the small shelf, on the shelving unit by my bed.
I've recently cleared away some old things from two shelves on my walls, so with any luck, my books will end up there.

No, my mother actually found the shelf in some magazine catalog. It came with a set of white furniture. :]

And messy shelves are okay. Mine's messy lol

I only have about a third of my books at my apartment; some are still at my aunt and uncles and the rest are at home.

This is very oooold. I took it last year, and my collection of books has definitely grown since then.

I need to get a bookshelf, since i moved to canada to live with my boyfriend in august i couldnt take them with me and i have to get stuff shipped over or buy new ones lol. All my books are back "home" too...before i moved i gave about...$600 worth of manga to my best friend. :) (thats only like 60 books but $10 a book some were a little cheaper so i might have had more than 60)

I have things like ALL books by Anne Mcaffrey, Dan Brown, Wheel of time series, LOTR, RA Salvatore and some other stuff.. D:

Well I took a picture of the ones I have in my apartment; still have some at home and my aunts though. Ignore the messy room and the fact that the bottom shelf has video games/movie :lol:

@Jaina Solo- We have a lot of the same books; Mercedes Lackey, Teen Witch, To Ride a Silver Broomstick. I love your anime collection. Wish I had that much manga.

I have some books on my book shelf but to tell the truth I use my shelf to hold all my shot glasses!! HAHA I have tons of books in those plastic tub things however. We are moving soon so my hubby told me we could repaint my book shelf and use it to hold my books.

And I thought I had lots of Books, I only have about 100 books and around the same amount in mangas if not half x3 Atleast thats a lot considering my friends dont buy much books, I buy whatever I really like or just eye it, like two books I bought, didnt notice they where they same author, and hunted the rest down XD
