I have just finished part one and found it to be quite an enjoyable read.

Sure, parts of it can be confusing (like some of the hidden facts, imagery, and flashbacks), but once a person gets used to it, I think it's a really good book.

It's very raw, and crude in many areas, refusing to hide the harshness of the time of slaves in America.

Has anyone else read it? what do you think?
