I don't know what to get for my friend since her birthday is next week. I am planning on the book above because I heard a lot of comments how it is really good so I am considering. I planned to buy it today but the big ver was $15 cdn so I reconsidered until I can find the small ver... Has anyone read it? If so, your opinions?

I read it YEARS ago when I was pretty young. It was really easy then. Um... I got the series and read what was out a couple years ago. If you friend likes fashion and stupid people doing stupid stuff and happily ever after endings, she'll prolly like it.

I've read all of Sophie Kinsella's books and they are extremely funny. She has a way of writing completely crazy situations and making them seem realistic and giving them completely amazing humor.
Confessions of a Shopaholic is on of my favorites in her library. Being a shopaholic myself it made it easy for me to relate to so I might not be the best judge on weather the average person would enjoy it, however if they are into fashion or chick lit i think it's definitely worth the try.

It was a good enough book, but I guess it would really depend on who it was that you wanted to give the book to, I guess. I got it as a gift and I thought my friend was making fun of me at first, but it turns out that she'd really liked the book and wanted me to read it, too. It was an interesting read, albeit easy and sort of fast paced, but I enjoyed it--for the most part.

Well, my friend read it and she says that she highly reccomends it. The reason we found out about it was because it fell out of her bag when we were running around like idiots and i picked it up and she just looked at me and i gave it back to her. then she looked at me in a weird way and she said "dont. touch. the book." then i was all "okay..." and i asked why are you so like that? its just a book." and she started talking about how addicting it was to read.

I enjoyed Confessions of a Shopaholic. It isn't any sort of deep book of course, but it's really funny and entertaining. The author writes very well. I'm not sure what your friend is like, but most people like to laugh...so it seems like a safe choice to me.

I loved that book. It was light, girly and a must read if you're one of those people.
