House Of Night
has anyone read these books? (Marked,Betrayed,Chosen) I have read all of them within a week lol (I could not put them down) and I must say that these books are a great find,if you like Vampire books they are definitely worth picking up,from what I have heard it is a six book series but only the 3 books are out so far the 4th book comes out in September 08 if you have read them stop in here and we can chat about them :)

I read them after they were recommended by a friend. I think it is a cool idea but I don't think they are written that well. I'm sure I will read the rest because I hate that the story is left so unfinished. I think if any of the books had ended in a place with more closure I would have stopped after the first one but the thing is that it bothers me that I am in the middle of action without resolution.
I do like the idea of the school and I like the whole tattoo thing but the characters are a bit one dimensional sometimes. |
I haven't read them but they sound interesting. Next time I go to the bookstore i'll pick up a copy.

SO far I have read Marked, actually when I read the paragraph on the back I wasn't sure it would be the kind of Vampire book that I like. But when I read it I got so into it I finished it in one day. I really like how they mixed the undead and magic. But its not even reallly like a good versus evil, I could explain it but I loved it. I loved the way the author portrayed each character and such. ^.^

I've read all three so far, I like it though it's not the best vampire book I've ever read. But I like the story and the idea, I will be picking up the rest of the books - just because I need closure to the story.

I have read them, actually. I'm just finishing up the third one and I can't wait for the forth. I love the writing and the story line is really good. I love how accurate the magic end of it is; you can tell the others did some thorough research on Wicca and Pagan rituals.
I love the idea of a Vampire Finishing School; it's kind of awesome. And the vampires create dare really interesting; I like that they're not the stereotype horror vampires OR like the the romanticized ones that seem to dominate most vampire literature these days. Not that I don't LOVE that stuff, too; it's just nice to read something different. |
I have read all of them except for burned because it just came out and i dont have any more money on my borders gift card so i cant buy it xD
I finished all of them in about a week or so. i read the first and half of the second one in a day they were so good xD |
I really love this series, though I haven't stopped long enough to read Burned just yet. Though I do know I'll be waiting impatiently for the next one in the series, especially since there are only two left to come out.

Last year, for my birthday, I gad been given the first three books of House of Night (Marked, Betrayed, Chosen..) and I read them when I could during school and before I knew it, I was saving up to buy Untamed. My mom doesn't like the series because she thinks it's "not nice" only because it has to do with a type of Vampires. But I give her the "Well I have the other books and I need to find out what happens next" excuse. I had to fight her to get Hunted. Now, I must save up for the books I want to buy now. I'm currently waiting to buy Tempted and then Burned!!! :D

Oh yes, I've read them.
They are pretty good, In a strange way.. For some reason every one I read them, I get extremely angry at it, And for some reason, Thats why I like it. xD Lol |

I'm so excited. Right now, I'm trying to finish Hunted. I just bought Tempted today. :) Heehee :P But I love the books! They're filled with cute and steamy romance, good intense action, awesome mystery and thrill, and the dialogs are intriguing. But it's kinda hard being that at the moment, I'm in the middle of trying to finish three books all at once. And I still have plenty of books on my shelf I have yet to read and/or I need to get around to finishing...or maybe just starting over again.

Here's the thing, I love the series, just because of the plot. But I think it's was a bit neglected in the character development department, and it seems to scream "MARY SUUUUUUUUUUE" all over. For some reason, I find Zoe to be a cliche at times, and her mary-sueness can be felt pouring out of the book sometimes. o uo;

i have read all the books through burned waiting 4 the nxt 1 to come out and can't wait etheir. for those people who haven't gotton to tempted or burned. Tempted is the Biggest cliffhanger i have EVER read so make sure u have or can get burned nearly right away because i was so stressed trying to come up with solutions on what would happen nxt i had to wait like 3-4 days to get it from my friend. as u can probably tell i LOVE this series

I can tell did you know the bookcovers are posters I noticed it because I think my boyfriend has either tempted or burned its really cool.

I didn't even make it past betrayed, and thats really bad but i think the books are ok it was hard to get into.

i didnt like how zoey was to begin with but when you read the next few books it makes more since and then your like omg!! keep reading i promise they are good!
