I got my hair cut like Vampire Miyu today for a Vampire Miyu cosplay... so I hunted and I didn't see a thread for the series.

Has anyone seen this series? It's about a vampire girl who sucks blood of people and in return she gives them eternal happiness. Also, she has an enemy.... the monsters known as "Shinma". I would say more... but I don't want to spoil anything.

There is the Miyu OVA and also the TV series. It was based on a manga (though they are very different from eachother) and there is a spin off type series called Vampire Yui.

I've wanted to see this.

It took me years to find the TV series at a decent price. I accidently ran accross them at a used video store in a box set. The OVA can be found easily though.

That's so awesome that you got your hair cut like her! All of my cosplaying characters have longer hair than I do, so I end up buying wigs. Anyway--I love the opening music. Actually, I love all of the music in the series. I saw it all at once though. A friend of mine had it given to her (as in random-gift-given) so we had a Vampire Popcorn Movie night. :D

^_^; I had to choose between the cosplay or my new Ball-jointed doll... I kinda chose the doll... but I definatly plan on cosplaying Miyu. =3 I need to drop a bit of weight anyways. I'm kinda embarassed to attract attention as an actual character, but I have some lolita to wear. :3 And Miyu's hair put down is actually a popular hair cut for lolitas!

I just started watching this tonight. I've put it off for years because it's one of the cliche things to watch... and now I can't remember why I looked for it. Either someone I trusted recommended it, or I read something about it that peaked my interest.

Anyway, the second episode had me fan clapping. Two of my favorite seiyuus in one episode, in the types of roles I love them best for??? Oh, yeah. ^_^

I watched the dub of the TV series. I'm not sure if the OVA has the same actress in Japanese. I was excited that the English voice of Emma Ai from Hell Girl was going to be the same person. Miyu and Ai have a lot in common!!
