Finally saw the episode for the two year timeskip. Was late for school watching it and got a parking ticket, but it was TOTALLY worth it. :)

I'm not sure if it's really Hody's 'True Form' or Hody's 'True Face', I don't think Hody can get any more bizarre than what he already looks like right now. :sweat: And I don't think I could feel sorry for him, flashback or not, he's just too much of a jerk as far as I can tell so far.

Time skip supernovas. I personally don't understand Bonnie's new outfit or Killer's little beard but hey, whatever works. I really like Kid's new look even though its basically battle scars.

I know! Hody is pretty messed up at this point. I'm not sure how much different he can look. I don't want to feel bad for him either but Oda just has a way of making you feel bad or to even like certain characters you hated before. I don't think I'll ever like Hody but I can feel bad for him.

Hmm, that's true. I remember hating Crocodile during the Alabasta Arc, but now I think he's cool. :sweat: Regardless, I'll probably never like Hody. I'll see about the feeling bad for him part. :O

Yeah, her outfit makes sense for being on the run but at the same time it looks frumpy. I can't really judge it too much until I see the whole thing. I wonder when we'll see these new looks them in future chapters.

So supposedly all this ship business with the princess was written down as prophecy... or did I read that wrong? The story just continues to get more crazy. Cant wait to see how it all comes together.

Yeah, Hody needs to show his true self, have his back story, and then get to steppin so the Straw Hats can continue their journey.

Also I love the relationship Zoro and Chopper have, its so cute. You wouldn't expect it either which makes it great!

Anyways, the latest chapter kinda made me confused. I guess its just an overview of the reaction throughout the entire island. And Weech, are you talking about the prophecy made by Madame Shirley or the one about the mermaid princess? Cuz I think in this chapter they meant Madame Shirley's.

I was talking about what they mentioned in this chapter, sense they used the word written I was getting confused at how many prophecy's this arc had. Must be the one made by Shirley then.

I'm sure the one about the Princess and the Sea Kings is going to come into play pretty soon too though. It seems that way at least.

EDIT: (still not sure if I can double post here so updating this old post) OKAY HODY LOOKS TERRIFYING NOW! I almost screamed when I saw his face in the newest issue.

He is also the biggest jerk ever! He so pathetic, its ridiculous. I may not like what Arlong did to Nami and other humans but at least he had real reasoning behind his hatred. Hody is just following what he had learned and saw but never had the experience himself!

Also, Brook's explanation of his new strength is really cool too.

The recent episode made me cry at the end. When Luffy told Rayleigh he was going to be Pirate King. Oh the tears! I can't wait for the next episode! I'm really starting to enjoy the anime a lot more than I expected. It gives a lot more depth and character to the series which is great. Most animes usually ruin it instead.

Yeah, and is it just me, or does Hody look more and more grotesque? :sweat:

And yesss! I was so happy when it was mentioned that the Kanji for his new move was named exactly the same as Ace's Fire Fist move! It's like he made it in honor of his brother. (which it probably is, if the heat coming from it is of any indication)

Totally started watching the new episodes of One Piece since they're set in the New World and I'm so happy that Luffy finally got caught up with Zoro and Sanji! Those impostors were annoying me so much...

And awesomeness at Luffy's tribute to Ace with his attack. Is he really going to destroy Noah? Isn't it important to the Fishmen??

Luffy is breaking Noah, and I'm not sure it is physically important to the fishmen. It might be more of a symbol and the fact that Luffy is breaking it is symbolism of a fresh new start like what the prince asked for. At least it seems that way right now. Could be something totally different, you never know with One Piece!

The anime is so fun to watch right now! I can't stop listening to New World! Brook always makes the best music. Also Caribou's voice just makes him even creepier! His laugh, omg ahhhhhh! The funny thing is I might be starting to like him! Not as a favorite character but he is exciting to watch/listen to.

Another break? Oda-semsei needs to take care of himself. At least for the sake of his fans!!

And seeing Brook sing for the first time in the anime made me giggle like crazy.

I'm a bit worried about Luffy though. His scar's splitting open from too much exertion. It looks really painful. D:

Watching all their friends help the Straw Hats get to Fishman Island was really cute! Especially Perona. I love her a lot now. I basically like almost every single character expect a few lol. Now I'm off the watch the newest episode.

I've also started to collect the volumes. I bought the first one centuries ago and now I want to finish my collection. So I have the first 2 and there is 64... its gonna take me a while! The translation could be better but I can't complain too much, though its pretty funny to realize I've been reading it and seeing Zoro then realizing Viz still spells his name as Zolo.

Haha, yeah, Oda has a way with getting people to like most of the characters. :XD
I think the only ones I dislike enough to remember are some of the Marines, Black Beard, and Hody.

lol! Yeah, some of the names are different. I know the officially released manga here has Luffy's name as '魯夫', but the ones I've been reading off the Internet (when if for some reason I decide to read it in Chinese) translated his name as '路飛', which is the version that China uses...oh well. As long as I still know who is who, I'm fine with it. :XD

He really does. Its so strange because I'm used to only liking ONE character throughout an entire series. In One Piece, I can't even keep track of everyone I like. I don't actually hate on too many but like you said some Marines, Blackbeard, and Hody are the ones I hate too.

This chapter was so cool! You know how Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper look at Franky and his new powers? I felt I looked just like that while reading this chapter! Everyone has grown so much, its so nice to see. Ugh, I can't wait for the next chapter!

I laughed at Chopper going, "You think I'm gonna be happy hearing that...!? =///u///= *happy*" in his 'monster' form and creeping Usopp out...:rofl:

I sort of feel that the Strawhat crew pwned their enemies a little too quickly this arc though...before, they usually had to battle so hard to defeat their opponents, but now they're just mowing right through them. Maybe Hody vs Luffy (or Luffy vs Noah) will have something more to show...I want to see more battling action that's not a straightout massacre. :XD

I don't think they destroyed them. Maybe just wounded them really badly. And even if they did, I'm sure the fights from here on will be harder. It could be that these fights are over with so easy because its to show that they have grown to the point that they are ready for what the New World has to offer. I'm sure Oda has other things planned for these fights though, I don't think anyone won just yet. The Fishmen will probably just take a bunch of pills like Hody did.

Hm, right. I keep forgetting they're not in the New World yet...
