You meet her first at the Chuunin Exam, then she's with them in the Curry of Life chapter, the chapter about Noroimusha, that guy who lost his memories, and the chapter where Gaara gets kidnapped. And she does have a personality, she's just never one of the main characters in a chapter

i noticed that some other characters that don't get much recognition, are Temari and Kankuro. they are recognized more than TenTen, but still, pretty much as little as Shino. it kinda bugs me how there are just some characters without much of a history. pretty much all you know about Temari and Kankuro is from what you've heard about Gaara's past.

Temari and Kankuro don't have surnames either. I agree, they don't get enough recognition. I know that Gaara's past is obviously the most tragic, but theirs can't have been exactly cheerful, because they had the same parents Gaara did, and it can't be easy having a demon-possessed little brother who wants to kill everyone.

want to know what i wonder about Gaara? where did the red hair come from? Temari has blonde hair like their mother, and Kankuro has brown hair like their father, so where did Gaara's red hair come from? that has confused me for a while now. :P

yeah I used to wonder about that as well, but I thought that maybe his hair colour changed when Shukaku was planted inside him?
Either that or his dad cheated on Temari and Kankuro's mum ^^

those are two possibilities. i bet it did have to do with the Shukaku, tho.

Yeah, because it is quite likely for blondes to have ginger kids isn't it?
I know because my friends remind me of this all the time, saying all my children are going to be ginger

But yes, I do think it's most likely because of Shukaku, because aside from the practical idea, Shukaku is kind of symbolic of what keeps him apart from his family, what makes him different. The insomnia, the tattoo, etc.

I love Naruto, whats weird is that im starting to like Orochmaru alot more then normal for me, but im a big Gaara-sama fan...and a few others to^^

I really really felt so sorry for Gaara in that episode about his sad past, it was then that he became my favourite character because I knew that he woulde turn good. And I was right!
I don't like Orochimaru. He's a cross between Voldemort and Michael Jackson.

i've noticed that everywhere i look, everyone thinks that about Orochimaru. i find it very funny. in fact, that's pretty much what my friend called him. but then, she always feared that he was the monster in her closet too. XD

Well I just hate him. I really wish he wouldn't say things like "Muahaha, then I will have Sasuke-kun's body!", because that's what makes people compare him to Michael Jackson. And I think his long tongue is just creepy.

no kidding. that reminds me of a fanart i found a few years ago. it was this short comic of how Orochimaru was kicked out of the Akatsuki. i think it was Deidara explaining to him about several things, one of which, Itachi finding inappropriate pics of Sasuke in Orochimaru's room. i dont remember the other things tho. but, at the end of the comic, the pics were the only thing Orochimaru cared about. it was disturbingly funny. i wish i knew where i saved that pic T_T

It's no wonder everyone says Orochimaru is a gay paedophile when he's so obssessed with Sasuke's body! I know he's not really, but some of the things he says... *shudder*

I actually kinda like Orochimaru. I think his character's really interesting and I kinda feel sorry for him...

I just find him gross and creepy. I also don't see what there is to feel sorry for, because he is just pure evil.

I feel sorry for him because he's become so corrupted, just because his parents died, it's kinda sad really... but that's just my opinion...

i can't really remember what happened in Orochimaru's past right now, but i think i did feel sorry for him while i read it. but, if i can remember, i think the third hokage said he was always the way he is now.

It's been ages since I read it too... maybe I'll re-read it at some point. Thinking about it, it's Thursday, so hopefully it will update today ^^

I can't remember what his past was like. But loads of characters have tragic pasts. Naruto, Neji, Gaara, Sasori, Pein, Konan, Sasuke... tragic pasts are very common, and not all those characters are evil.
