Has anybody ever heard of these two lost Sailor Moon movies. I know three people have heard of them, but only one said that they had it. Supposedly they were movies for the 1st and 5th season and they were the Pegasus Collection(not the 4th season). Also, I saw Haruka in a red dress in a picture that looked like it was in an episode. I own all of Sailor Moon in Japanese and have the lost episode and the movie about Ami's first Love. Just wondering if anybody knows about it.

I seen all the specials...movies and episodes. Ami-chans first love and there was another.. I wouldn't call them movies...because they where the same time length as the actual episodes.

What were the other "special" ones called? I only know of Ami's first Love.

Maybe I am getting it confused with the manga. I know that the manga has three special acts. Ami-chans first love and one with Rei-chan and one with Chibi Usa and Hotaru.

It has been a few years since I watched them...

I do remember seeing two manga that were in Japanese that was never released in english. It was based on the 5th season, because of the picture of Chibi Chibi......right now I am trying to find the picture of Haruka in a red strapless dress.

Didn't know there were lost movies. I have the actual movies and the Ami speical on a vhs tape a pen-pal sent me years ago.

For As Long as I can remember in my life Sailor Moon was one of my big favorite anime's. The movies that came on vhs then later to dvd where Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, and Sailor Moon SS. These three where actual movies with villans such as Fiore, Princess Kaguya, Lady Badiyanu.

The series themselves also went along the same themes except that the pegasus versions where unavailable in usa on dvd. I believe at some point the sales where not as high in the US as they where in Japan. Sailor Star Series which comes directly after the pegasus series Is not at all sold in USA. Hence why Sailor Moon fans have such a hard time collecting the movies.

A search could always be done online to help, oh yeah one other thing the dark moon circus villains come after the pegasus series! After the Dark Moon Circus we get the evil sailor scouts and the entry of the heroes sailor star lights! This all builds up to the final battle of Sailor Galaxia. Chibi Chibi also makes her appearence in the Sailor Star Series! Chibi Chibi for those who may not know is the little red head girl with heart shaped buns and two curly pig tails. I won't spoil anything else on her though! I hope I was of some help.

I have the entire series on DVD. I don't have the Ami special though. Thats the one that I am missing. I was quite depressed that they never dubbed Stars in English. But DIC never released it and when the liscense for it came due, Naoko Takeuchi decided not to renew it.

There are a lot of episodes from the first and second seasons that never aired in English though. I have all of those ones because I have them in Japanese. You really miss a with the English dubbed series.

They didn't dub certain episodes because of the content wouldn't pass for children's cartoons.

I am glad they didn't dub the stars season, it would of been botched beyond belief. That's why Mrs. Takeuchi didn't renew it, she didn't want them to take away from her beautiful series. I wouldn't if I was her.

@Lady_Megumi: Here here! Dic utterly slaughtered the series, so I'm glad they didn't get the rights to the last season.

As for the original, I can't help. I only know of the three movies. I didn't even know there was an Ami special, but then again its been awhile since I've dealt with the anime. I'm still trying to get a hold of the last manga volume.

Oooh manga the only i have in English are part of a few issues of Mixxzine that I have. Though they call her bunny in that . Even though Bunny is a literal translation I would prefer they would have called her Usagi. My brother who is teaching english in Japan found most of the original Japanese manga for me at various thrift shops. For super cheap too :) Also found a site with some scans just have to find one that will have more of the chapters so I can print them all out as refferences.

@ nette: Yeah, I'm not particularly a fan of changing the original Japanese names, but if I'm not mistaken, Sailor Moon's English translation was released back in the mid ninties and early 2000s when manga wasn't as popular as it is today. The manga company probably also wanted to make sure that the manga's names matched with the anime's names so that girls buying the manga wouldn't be confused. Calling Usagi "Bunny" was a happy medium.

Actually, it took placed after the S season and in the middle of the Super S, because I remember Ami had her third transformation in that one.

Oh right.. that would make more sense. I haven't watched the episodes in ages so it's hard to remember :/

"Supers Special: Haruka and Michiru, Again! The Ghostly Puppet Show" (this is the other one I remember seeing)
"Supers Special: Chibiusa's Adventure! The Dreaded Vampire Castle"

There has been A LOT of original episodes that where cut for various reasons.

Oh, I remember those. I think they were all pretty good to watch. Not that they were movies... Just specials that I don't remember being released in the USA. Besides on Japanese sites and english sites that got them from those Japanese sites.

I already know it. I first saw the Stars season back in 2003. I actually own the whole series and did own all three movies until it was stolen like some other anime series I had by someone I trusted.......I know this is mean and evil, but he got shot in the back of the head, because he was in the "wrong place at the wrong time". Karma is a bitch!

Oh I've never heard of these. I wonder if their avaiable anywhere.

Oh nevermind.. I found them in a google search. There on youtube. But sadly I can't watch them because I have a slow internet connection and the speakers broke :/ Maybe I can bug my brother to download them for me :D

I own them, and I remember them being on my UNCUT SuperS DVD Boxset. I think if you buy them, you can get those episodes.


Now, all of this makes me want to watch Sailor Moon.

That has to really suck!! You can actually find them on ebay like everything else.

haha yeah I guess it does. Though the episodes are all in Japanese so I'm ok with it. My sister has the dvd's so I could borrow them from her if I ask. Though last time I did that I hardly watched them. But I really didn't have much time too then I guess.

I think it is much better to own them than borrow, because when you do have the time, you can just pop it in whenever you like.

That is very true. I can't recall but are the dvd's uncut? I know there was a set that the episodes were cut.

with the first and second season, you can only get them uncut or cut, not both.
Third and fourth season are both in just one DVD box and the fifth season only comes uncut.
