What animes and mangas are on your want to watch/ read list?

I looked around and didn't see any thread like this so here we go :)
List any of the animes or mangas you would like to watch or read and for whatever reason haven't gotten the chance to. You can say why you want to watch or read them too. Happy posting.



This is just a starter post so I'll post mine latter after this thread gets started

Lessie...I have 2 separate lists for this...animes/mangas I've watched/read but haven't watched/read the entire series and then there's series that I haven't watched/read but I'd like to.

Animes/Mangas to finish:

Yu Gi Oh GX (yeees I know that it's a pretty pathetic series...but I still enjoy it for the lulz)
Totally Captivated (it's a Korean Manga that I have the first volume, but have yet to get the rest of the volumes of the series v_v)

Haha I have similar lists, glad to know I'm not alone in my insanity haha. I have an account on anime-planet.com but they make it kind of hard to seperate the differences :/
Also the nice thing about this thread is people can come back in a few months and maybe say hey I've watched or read those since then. So it's be like yay I can finally cross that off of my list :)

Anime want to watch is a very extensive list so I'll list the major few.

Slayers seasons Try and on plus the movies
Oh My Goddess I've only seen a small bit of the very short anime
Inu-Yasha - though it's been on tv for years I still have not yet seen the full series
Fruits Basket - I've most of the manga so I'd like to see the anime too. Luckily the library has it :)
Neon Genesis Evangeleon -anither anime I've been struggleing to finish.
um I think that's good for now though there are some others
Please Save My Earth - Been wanting to see this for ages
One Piece -only have seen a few episodes but it looks hilarious and I would love to see the rest of this series.
Sailor Moon - oh yeah had to add that one. I'm embarressed to say but I've never actually seen the full series. I've seen most of the eps in all of the seasons but for stars.
Noein - oh right forgot about that one. yeah I never got to finish it either. I want to buy the dvd set which I've found a few differnet times for oly $20

Manga to read

Fruits Basket - still have to read the last few vols
Ranma 1/2 - why do the good mangas have to be so long? I've only read up to vol 3 and there's something like over 30!
Oh My Goddess - yet another thing I've stuggled to complete. gosh darn it for the lack of money grrr that this hobby has to cost so much!
Please Save My Earth - figured since the anime is supposed to be so short it would be worth while to get the whole story by reading the manga too.
Case Closed - only got to read the first vol so I would like to read the rest too.

Sailor Moon - would also love to read the manga but the scan site I found doesn't have all of the chapters yet. So as of now I've only read a small bit of it.

I don't know if it even exists fit if Gorgeous Carat were an anime I would definitely want to watch it. I also am waiting very very impatiently for the release of the Trigun Movie I want it so badly I even told a friend that was going to Japan if he sees it to get it for me and I would pay him for it.

@Nette: Sailor Moon? eeehhh...the series isn't that great...I always found the plot for every episode to be so goddamn generic most of the time. The badguys choose a target, the target SOMEHOW is connected with the Sailor Scouts (like she's a friend of one of them or IS one of the Sailor Scouts...most of the time it's like that at least, there are some exceptions), the Scouts are trying to fix some sort of problem that's going on, the bad guys attack, the Sailor Scouts SOMEHOW are nearby so they realize something is going on, the Sailor Scouts come in and fight the bad guy...and in many cases Tuxedo Mask ends up having to come and help them. It's not that I absolutely hate Sailor Moon...it's just the episode plots tend to get a bit old after a while, so it'd be a series I'd watch if I wanted to watch something that I don't have to think too hard about.

Manga: Highschool of the Dead, Ghost in the Shell, Baki Son of Ogre and others when I can think of them.

Anime: Mnemosyne, Witch Hunter Robin, Basilisk, Yu Yu Hakusho, and others.

Oh, that's why the manga is about twenty times better. The story flows much better and isn't so damn episodic. It's the same basic plot, but some of the elements of the anime are toned way down. For example, there isn't that much talk about "friendship wins the day!" and you have fewer instances of villains going good in the end. Honestly though, the art isn't the best and is very sketchy. Visually, not impressive, but I love the story.

Manga:

Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden - It's an ongoing series so it'll be awhile.
Absolute Boyfriend - I started it and sorta want to finish even though I know the gist of it all.

Anime:

Saint Seiya - I've seen most of it, but I still need to see the final arch.
Magic Knight Rayearth - I've got the manga, but I want to see the series.

. . . In comparision it looks a little pitiful. ^^; I haven't been getting into manga/anime much lately.

@Skye: O.O that...sounds like I might actually enjoy the manga series a bit more :yes:

as I said...I didn't hate the anime, I just found it very predictable. There was one arc I actually enjoyed somewhat. The arc with the Amazon Trio <3 I actually really enjoy the Amazon Trio because they interact with each other amuses me to no end. And I just love their personality dynamics. didn't really like the Amazon Quartet a whole lot though...found them to be kind of annoying.

Tigers Eye's playboy personality amused me to no end xD and though Fish Eye could be a bitch at times (yes I know Fish Eye was male...I still say he could be downright bitchy at times) I still liked him :yes: and Hawk Eye...just...I dunno. I liked him, but he could be a tad bit weird at times.

Well the only one I'd love to go watch/read right this second is Wonderful Wonder World. It's an Alice in Wonderland manga/anime. I like it a lot.

Yeah for the first couple of seasons it's like that but it gets better in the SuperS. I have a bunch of the episodes in Japanese on vhs tapes from and old pen-pal. So I grew to appreciate the series more after watching those episodes. It almost doesn't seem like the same show.

._. There are so many mangas and animes that I've noted as something I want to read or watch. But I never get to it. :gonk:

The first manga that comes to mind is Loveless. >.o I have no idea why I haven't started it yet. Its just up my alley. Bishonen. Storyline. Epicartz.
