i have yet to find a thread on princess ai, so here it is!!
i love the manga!!! i finally got to read it about a year ago. definatly one of the best out there. i've heard of a sequel, but i can't find it other than buying it online. i've also heard of an anime. FINALLY!! i can't find the anime anywhere online yet, but i've seen bits and pieces of it on a tokyopop music video.
the anime looks really good. i hope to see it some day.
I read Princess Ai a few years ago, I quite liked it then (I even have a posable Princess Ai figure!) but I haven't touched it since. I think the first volume is best, I got a bit weirded out reading the later ones when

she becomes so incredibly famous she saves a person from killing themselves by singing to them and has two freaky cults who worship her/think she's the devil.
I thought that was a bit much, I mean, no one's that good at singing! :lol: The character designs are lovely, though! Ai Yazawa is a great one for gorgeous eccentric clothes. :)
I have to say, watching that video with the sound off is quite an odd experience. :D That Skye woman has some very active eyebrows!
one thing i noticed in the series is how Ai's outfits changed in style throughout the story. at first, it was more dark, but by the end, it had more of a positive outlook.
I love Princess Ai I read all of the manga and so far I have yet. to find any copy's of the new managa yet. heck I look in bn for it they were sold out but that was back in December. a week after Christmas so they had not gotten any new ship mints in yet. but I did not know they made a anime must check on Veoh they mighty have something.

I started it probably like, 2 yrs ago, and never finished.
I don't really remember it much though.
I just remember I stopped reading it, because when I went to continue it I found I wasn't fond of the drawings. xD
I really liked the manga series. I enjoyed the storyline and all the characters. I liked the whole gothic look that she was given [well, clothing-wise, anyways.] Too bad it was so short though. I wish it had been much longer. I felt a little confused during certain points in the series, but eventually figured it out later. I think Ai was absolutely gorgeous.
