I think this should probably go in the anime/manga forum, yes?

That aside, I quite like Death Note, but I think my sister's the one who's properly interested. :)

It's a good anime. I started reading the manga but never finished...
It's on my list to rewatch and read, but I've got a billion things that go before I can even think about reading or watching any anime right now... T_T

I like Deathnote. It's a decently made anime and the artwork isn't too bad. Each character is very interesting and engaging, even though I detest Light Yagami with every fiber of my being and I waited for the moment when he would breathe his last. -pantpant- c.c Ahem, the only thing that bugged me was that I had a hard time finding a real "good guy" in the show and thus I only like the characters(except Light) from a respectful distance with the exceptions of Matsuda and Light's father. Call me old-fashioned, but I found that all the characters, "good" or bad were all corrupt in their own way and that only a select few were actually interested in capturing "Kira" for what I'd consider a "pure" reason. However, this is not surprising since the role and character of the hero has transformed over time and people prefer "antiheros" over the real ones. I personally don't, but that's just me. Regardless, I do like Deathnote alot because the story was quite suspenseful and it kept me engaged throughout the series as they attempted to find out who "Kira" was, not knowing that the main component in their investigation was Kira himself. ._.

What I REALLY liked about the anime was that it was well thought out, they put it into a present day situation and it worked out rather well. It almost felt like a REAL investigation. XD

I liked both the anime and the manga. When Light dies in the end, he died a little bit more dignified in the manga verison, and any Light fans out there sorry but I was cheering in the end when he finally got his. Sorry to say, but he deserved it. I enjoyed it because of the death god Ryuuk (hopefully thats how you spell his name). He kind had that personality where he was really quirky, but at the same time had intelligance that didn't always show. He always seem to be one step ahead.

I totally know what you mean. I was waiting to see him die. D: It was the best part of the show, especially since it was Matsuda who shot him.

Death Note is my favourite anime and manga. I own both light novels, the 13th encyclepedia manga called "How To Read", an L necklace, all three live action movies, an L T-shirt, an L wallet, and a L pin. I have never been this much into an anime before.

I adore it. I finished the anime a while ago, and right now I'm currently collecting the manga.
Amazing plot, amazing characters, great character development...I can't say enough good things about it.
The suspense and twists always make you want more.

I personally really like Light. xD♥ Especially when he starts to get more evil. Honestly, his laugh is extremely sexy. xD I'M SORRY BUT IT IS. (Japanese version that is. ;3 )
And I don't know WHAT it is about L, but he automatically puts a spell over you, it's impossible not to fall in love with him. x3♥
But even in my L fangirl stage, I still kinda wanted Light to win.

And when Light finally died, I cried...:< It was so sad. The use of imagery, and showing how far his madness had led him in the anime was amazing. x.x; I thought it was a good ending, even though he died.

GAAAH! I need to re-watch it! I love it so much!

I enjoyed the Death Note manga and anime. I also liked the live action movies and the novels that came from the series. I think if I had to choose a favorite character from Death Note it would either have to be Matsuda or Misa. Both of them aren't very important, and not a lot of people like those two. I think they both have their own witty personalities and add a little bit of comedy relief.

I love Mastuda personally. I think he's quite the underdog in the series and out of everyone there, I think he was the one who deserved to kill Light the most. : D I also adore Misa. I think she's alot smarter than people give her credit for. Unfortunately, most people just look at her "fangirling" for Light and her wardrobe/bubbly personality. But I think she's quite clever, honestly.

I like death note so much I actually bought the last half of the manga volumes. Reading it at Borders is just not as fun as reading it in the sun.

I didn't like it at first but I gave it a second chance and loved it. My fiance and I are cosplay Mikami and Light at Megacon next weekend with home made death notes ^-^ The series is great!

I love Death Note. L was always my favorite character, but I liked Near, Ryuk, and Matsuda as well. Light was my least favorite, though. When I first started the manga, I could almost sympathize with him at the beginning. As soon as he started going on about being God, though, I started thinking he was a bit of a creeper.

I fell in love with Death Note after the first chapter. I've read all the manga (even though I only own the second half...), I've seen the entire anime in Japanese (can't stand the English dub), I've got all three of the movies, two Death Notes, and various other DN-related merchandise strewn throughout my room.

I've always love stories about vigilantes, and Death Note definitely has that. It's also got the unique twist of not portraying the vigilante protagonist in a perfect light -- instead of being forced to side with Light, it's quite easy to hate him, too. Not to mention the quirks of all of the main characters. And the art style is totally to die for!

Love it, love it, love it. I think the writer of Death Note was fantastic, making everything connect like she did. Each character was well-developed, each plot twist ingenious. I wouldn't change a single thing in the entire manga (or anime).

Yeah, my favorite character died (I'm not saying who, in case of spoilers), but I think it only contributed to the plot.

It's too bad that Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's second manga together really isn't as great as Death Note. I read it only because they made it.

Death Note was such a great show. L was such a lovable character. Kinda wanna go re-watch all the animes now... I even watched the live action movie, it's all so good. Always makes me so sad when a show ends. And this was no exception...
