wow, my friends are going to be psyched to hear this *cough*sarcasm*cough*

But seriously, they're getting so desperate for stories in Hollywood that they're leeching anime.
I'm not surprised, it was only a matter of time before they took Bleach and made it a live action.
In some ways I hope they do one of the movies instead of the actual series, because god knows they'd mess up the actual series.

I'm a bit morbidly curious who'd they'd cast as who...

Hopefully they will not make it so bad that anime Lover's will not. have to send letter's of trying to stop them form useing more anime. for there movie ideas ugh they all ready did. Speed Racer,DBZ and Death Note but that one was form Japan.

I bet they are going to westernize the HELL out of that movie. At least the Deathnote live action stayed semi-relevant, and the characters looked as they should have. I already hate to watch dubbed versions of anime's. They already had a musical, though. What is the anime world coming to?!?!?! Now I'm going to go somewhere with people screaming "ICHIGOOOO <3 <3 <3" more than they already do.

...Oh gosh...they went after Bleach? ...do I dare to say they might go for Naruto next?

[Sarcasm] Wow, this'll be fun to see [/Sarcasm]. For what reason are they making a live action Bleach, other than to make more money? I seriously doubt it'll work out-as has been said, they'll probably try and squeeze the whole Soul Society arc into 2 hours. I can see the problems from here. How many characters and plot points will end up being skipped so they can manage this? On that, I just hope they at least get the casting right for this film, which TLA and DBZ...didn't (Except roshi in DBZ-Chow did a good job of keeping him close to canon with what they gave him).
As for Naruto...I've seen no attempts at making a live action version of this aside from the various rumours and an actual Fan Film that I've yet to see, but there are a few Anime movies from the series, with the new one out subbed next April or so!

Back to Bleach...

If they try to westernise it, they'll end up going down the path of DBE-it'll suck ass. They need to try and keep close to source material if they even wanna hope to get it working!
And while JYB would be good to see in this film, he's probably one of the few actors that would help keep his character close to canon and really know what is happening in the film already. If they have a good enough script, he may try it. If it's not...I hope he doesn't join the film just for the money.
Annoyingly, we probably won't hear anything about casting until later next year.

I think that's what most people will be predicting. I just hope they don't completely RAPE the anime/manga in this film.

So-live action Bleach, we all think it'll end up doing a DBE/TLA and being crap, yeah? And Ichigo's dialogue is a little bad, but recently he's been quiet, unlike Aizen who WON'T SHUT THE HELL UP!!!! (Slight manga spoiler there-sorry).
Still, it could be a LOT worse. I mean have you seen some of the lines from TLA? And odds are there are shows out there that can do so much worse than this!

Your Welcome! I can always have a laugh imagining Blade in the twilight verse...he'd be like a kid in a candy store with so many vampires for him to kill! And fair enough-I was gonna do Dante, but you can't get 2 guns like Ebony & Ivory here, or make your avi hold 2 guns, which really irritated me...oh well. I did what I could and did Vergil instead.
And about your point on movie adaptations of anime, DBE immediately springs to mind at that point (winces in recollection of film)...it hurts thinking about that!
As I said I'll TRY and hold judgement till I see trailers, but I'm still gonna be a bit biased about it cause I enjoy the manga! And the shonen manga aren't bad-though Naruto is just getting wierd! Bleach and One Piece are alright! (Though I hope to GOD they don't try anything with One Piece like they are for Bleach-that would just be IMPOSSIBLY bad! (Facepalms for jinxing it!))

Lol. I think they just don't take the material seriously, so they don't really put much effort into it.

And I get what you mean-they take the source material and make a movie just to get some money. They don't do the source material justice, hence why the films suck ass!

And fair enough. I'm still a child at heart, which is why I enjoy those manga. But I get what you mean-I quite like the Black Lagoon manga and anime series. And I may have to give that Monster manga a look-it sounds interesting!

Totally. They think that if they churn out a movie with a popular title, they'll make billions. =/ Honestly, if they tried, they could make awesome movies using the material in anime shows...but they just don't take it seriously.

Though I should probably watch those and the movies at some point...Either way, I still enjoy it. The manga has gotten...very interesting lately!

That is the MOST ANNOYING THING! They don't give a damn about quality! Case in point-several lines from TLA were just...BAD! I linked a review to a thread I started a while back about the possible sequel that commented about those lines. I seriously hope that if this happens, they take the time to get it right! And if it does go bad, at least admit it sucks like the director for DBE did, something I think Sh-i-am-a-loon could have done to keep some kind of respect from whatever fans he has left!

Short attention span + procrastination=me! Not the best of combinations to deal with, but it makes things interesting! I just read some stuff in small parts at a time, and it tends to work out fine for me!
Black Lagoon is fun to watch, though the manga really needs to get updated soon...I'll keep that in mind with Monster, but if I like it, the length of the series wouldn't bother me in the slightest!

And yes, I am talking about the man who butchered the TLA series into that thing he called a film adaptation. Why would anyone who made a film that was slammed by viewers pen the script for a sequel despite viewer opinions?! I seriously hope Paramount don't give this the Green Light!

Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way about the upcoming Bleach movie. Actually EVERYONE taht I've talked to thinks that it's gunna be COMPLETELY rubbish!!!! I mean, even people taht haven't watched Bleach can already tell that the movie is gunna be shit!
I mean, they could maybe improve it if they got Johnny Yong Bosh (I think I spelt his name right...) to be in it and play a character. At least he'd know what the hell he was doing! And maybe a few of the other people taht do the Bleach voices that actually know what the hell happens and so can maybe do some of the characters justice!
I am dreading to think what they'll do to Toshiro. I mean, he's my favourite character and I want to see him in the movie but at the same time I KNOW that they'll mess up his character or get his Zanpakuto wrong or both!!!! It'll ruin it!!!!!!!! And does it say what they're gunna try and do in the movie? I mean, if theyt try and cram all of the soul society ark into one film then...it's gunna be EXTREMELY bad! It could maybe work out of they try and redo one of the bleach movies or something like that but otherwise they'll just skip out a helluva lot of what makes Bleahc good and they'll probably skip out a lot of characters and important scenes and just...-goes off on long winded rant for the next hour-
-winces- PLEASE don't mention Dragonball or TLA around me...they were so bad I couldn't even stand to watch five minutes of DB and roughly fifteen minutes of TLA they were that crap!

Lol. I didn't even bother watching it. The trailer was enough to tell me that it was going to fail. I can't believe they're still letting him make movies.

There's some rumor going around about making a western death note movie (as in american actors, american directors, and all that.) But considering how America is with GOOD STUFF nowadays... NO! THEY'D DESTROY IT!
