Anime with best music?
 

I love animes! One of my favorite things about animes is the music! The ending themes in Inyasha sparked my love of Japanese music. But I'd have to say that NANA has not only the best opening/end themes, but the best music intergrated into the show. There's this same music that comes on everytime something sad happens, and you are so into the show that you know that's what it is. The show is also centered around two bands, which adds to the importance of having good music! I'd say that Bleach also gas awesome theme songs (and one of the few animes who has themes sung by males) Enough of my rambling; here's my top three for best anime music (it was a tough decision!)

3. Bleach :heart:

So which anime has the best music acording to you? do you have a top three like myself, or does one beat out the rest?

Going to have to agree with the assessment that NANA has excellent music.

I've recently found that Kuroshitsuji has an excellent soundtrack as well. And Gravitation is another good one, provided you're up for something a tad more upbeat. They're certainly very catchy.

Bleach
K-ON has awesome music

Gankutsuou and Mononoke are the best I can think of with beautiful music, not just your typical action/dramatic crap. XD

Elfen Lied has a really beautiful theme song called "Lilium"...the lyrics are in Latin and the song sounds holy and gorgeous.

I haven't watched the ones you guys mentioned but I remember the Fruits Basket anime having nice background music and theme songs.

@Symphony of the Night - I totally agree about Lilium. I haven't seen the series yet (I'm planning it for months) but the song is just plain beautiful.

I'm also quite fond of music from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt even though that's not my usual type of music, it fits this series very well. I also believe that a thread about best anime music can't go without a mention of the opening theme from Serial Experiments Lain "Duvet". That is a masterpiece.

I also like Black Cat's music all of its songs are awesome! :3

How can anime soundtracks be mentioned and nobody says a word about Cowboy Bebop? That's a crime. Also, Samurai Champloo. :D

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann has a really epic soundtrack.

What others do I enjoy.... Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, Natsume Yuujinchou, Michiko to Hatchin. I love the actual tracks, not just the opening and ending pop music. :P

@For-Chan Cookie - I agree, Cowboy Bebop has amazin soundtrack. And thanks for reminding me that I need to bring the awesomeness of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann to more people. This show has epic mix of rap and opera in its soundtrack. Have I mentioned that it's epic?

hmmm....Le Portrait de Petit Cossette has great music but is very short since it's an OVA. And Elfen Lied's Latin opening theme is amazing.
Oh! And the FLCL soundtrack is great! I :heart: The Pillows!

I liked Panty and Stocking w/ Gartbelt's music. Simply because it's so different, and a lot of the songs (Like corsets theme) are fun to wiggle along with in your seat, haha.

Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE has a really awesome soundtrack. Probably my favorite anime soundtrack ever.

But Spice and Wolf has a really beautiful opening theme for its first season. The first time I listened to it I think my jaw dropped a bit.

Oh and I almost forgot about Eden of the East! The opening theme is one of my favorites.

I gotta say....the most beautiful soundtrack to me is the soundtrack for Escaflowne. It's a beautiful piece of art. I've yet to find music that from an anime that comes close to it for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the music in Samurai Champloo. So much so that I bought the soundtracks they released in America. I kinda wish I had the Japanese version that was just one case with a bunch of cds in it. I think I saw it once when I went to an anime convention and it had a lot more songs on it.

I also enjoyed the music on the American version of Dragon Ball Z. There were so many moments that were intensified because of the music they put in those moments.

Desert Punk's opening theme music was really, but then they changed it to something more depressing.

I recently watched the first part of an anime series called Durarara!! and I quite like the opening and ending themes for this series, especially the ending.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Gundam Wing, Hellsing or Revolutionary Girl Utena! They all have great soundtracks.
