Hyperbole and a Half is an illustrated blog run by a girl named Allie. Similar to the Oatmeal in humor (with more blog-ness and less comics), the comics look as if they were drawn by a child. This serves it's purpose, as the simplistic style with obvious adult illustrations in certain aspects adds to the humor in each blog.

If you haven't given it a read, do so. It's perfect for lifting spirits and laughing at other peoples' expense.

Yes, it is xD I haven't read all her blogs, but I'm working on it. I like the Cake blog. It's my favorite, alongside the newest one. Wolves.

Have you read her christmas story blog? It is amazing! I do not think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. She is hilarious.

Yes, I've read all but a couple of the very first ones, older ones. I like that one too :lol:

The newest one that she has out right now I've enjoyed a fair bit too. I related to it quite a bit. :) Climbing into my parents' bed because I thought monsters were going to get me.

I habitually sent the Alot post to my friends who annoy me with bad grammar.

My personal favorite is "How A Fish Almost Ruined My Life."

Hyperbole and a Half is probably the funniest webcomic/blog I've ever read. I love Allie's drawing style! It fits so well with her stories.

I'm quite jealous though, nothing that interesting ever happens to me in real life. :(

I spent an entire day on her site laughing my head off a couple months ago. I then sent the web address to all my friends on facebook. lol.

I actually found Hyperbole and a Half because someone shared the Alot comic somewhere...can't remember what site now, though. And of course whenever someone shares a comic I like, I have to go read the rest of the webcomic. x_X

I love Hyperbole and a Half! The first time I read her blog, I think I hurt my insides from laughing so much and thought I was going to die from lack of breath with all the air whooshing out my lungs.

I love Hyperbole and a Half! Like others, I found it through someone sharing the post about Alots, but now I'm hooked. The day I found it, I went back and read every post... that was pretty much my entire day. :lol:

It makes me kind of sad that it isn't updated more right now, but I know that's because Allie is working on the book, not because she hates us and all we stand for. I find it helpful to join the Hyperbole and a Half fanpage on facebook. If you use facebook regularly, then you'll know as soon as a new post is up. :)

I have her on my RSS feed in Google Reader. I am on that every time there's a post, uh hunh. :angel:

Same here, both on Reader and on my phone's Social Feeds app so if it updates while I'm at work I'll know. :D I check for RSS feeds on everything. >.>;; Sometimes the poor app lags.

I just got into her through the blog about moving with dogs. I laughed my guts out all over the floor. She is very funny, and I'm working my way backwards through her stuff now.

Her drawings are perfect for her writing. Perfectly emphasizing the humor. XD

When I first stumbled across her blog, I found myself giggling like a drunken school girl. I think the drawings help bring the self-deprecating wit of her writing out. I noticed that she is working on a book, which should prove to be quite amusing.

I also saw that she has some terribly amusing merchandise that not many people would get. I sort of want one of the coffee cups.

It's also why I actually use a lot correctly cause everytime I type it wrong, I think of the alots XD

Allie's been gone for months.
The new post is about depression, and I was empathy x I GET THAT! all over that post.
Especially the exoskeleton bit at the end.

Wow, that post really hits hard. I was wondering where she's been, and if she's even been okay. I also wonder where Duncan (the boyfriend, she refers to him as) is, and where he was during this whole encounter.

Yes! I wondered that too. Which made me feel nosy, and guilty, you know? But the last I knew, they were cute and engaged and making faces in their engagement photo. Then there was the move and then *poof.* I assumed that it was because of the upcoming book, but I guess not?

Hoping we get a new comic soon :C I miss her much!

"Clean all the things!" was my mantra this morning. Now I'm back to "Internet forever!"
