To put it plainly, what are your favorite character types in anime and why?
Alternatively, what sort of characters do you hate?

Obviously, my favorite type is tsundere. Probably because I can relate to them the most. ^^;;

The Manga/Anime forums can be quite slow at times, so it's not uncommon to see a topic go unreplied to for a day or two. :)

I'm not sure if there's a particular name for the type of characters I like, but about 95% of the time they are villains. There's the calm and collected, but can be quite sadistic, kind, and there are the 'wild' ones that basically spend most of their on-screen time manically laughing their heads off.

I'm pretty much with FD on this one I'm all for villains and the crazies. I like ones that are laid back and intelligent too but I think I'm quite a fan of yanderes, they just make interesting characters, but maybe I'm just reading too many physiological romance mangas~ XD

Insane and unbalanced, pissed off or enraged, yes, but no 'cute and innocent'. I like my villains mean. XD (well, mean to their enemies, anyway...I'd prefer it if they were somewhat nicer (tolerant to a degree) to their subordinates/minions/etc)

Let's see if I can think of a few...hmm...Hidan from Naruto, Touzokuou Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh!, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, Kadaj from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Genesis Rhapsodos from Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, etc...

Hm. Maybe evilly affable. Although, maybe just 'ax crazy' would work too. >w>

Evilly Affable are entertaining characters, I really love to see them in any sort of series. XD

lol Yeah, Evilly Affable sounds pretty like it. And the 'villains who laugh maniacally and gush about how Evil Feels Good' mentioned in the passage for the other type I was talking about. XD

Tsunderes are so much fun XD All the female characters I've ever created have been tusnderes to a certain point. My current one is a bit more a Type 3 kuudere... Yanderes are one of my favourites though, they entertain me XDD

I like Adult Child types, and Tall,Dark & Snarky.
