Strawberry Panic!

I checked back five pages, didn't see a topic on this anime/manga so, thought I'd start one!

The original artist was Chitose Maki, who was succeeded by Namuchi Takumi when production of the manga and light novels began.

This is the first manga I read (at least, started to read) and the first anime I really got into. It's refreshing to see lesbian anime/manga, instead of common heterosexual pairings.

I have to say Strawberry Panic's lead couple (Nagisa and Shizuma) are very similar to my own relationship. I've called my girlfriend a goddess for years, as she has called me an angel. I did not realize until today that Nagisa calls Shizuma a goddess, and Shizuma calls Nagisa an angel =3 It surprised me in a good way, and maybe that's why I like it so much. :lol:

You can find it online to watch/read for free, also, so you should definitely give it a try. Keep in mind Strawberry Panic! features lesbian pairings, directly. There is no vagueness about this one!

I never got into the anime, but I loved the manga/light novels. I wish that the third novel was published in English, though. D:<

I thought there were only 12 mangas? owo

coconutberry 03-06-2011 05:57 PM

I'm not sure. I know that there were two volumes of the manga that were published by Seven Seas... From what I know about that manga, it was discontinued over in Japan, so there is nothing left to publish, anyway. The two volumes are an adaption of the first light novel, which was also published by Seven Seas. They released the second novel, but then they decided to drop ALL of their light novel projects, and not releasing the third. I was so mad, I didn't even finish the second one, since I didn't want it to end on a cliffhanger that I could never finish. *sigh*

Aww :( I read through the manga yesterday, so now I'm watching the anime. I hope it doesn't end in a super cliffhanger :gonk: from what I know, there's 12 mangas and 26 anime episodes.

I've watched the anime (Recommended by a friend) and I'd have to say I loved it. ^^ It is certaintly refreshing to see something other than regular cutesy hetero love. 5 Strawberries out of 5 for breaking the Manga/Anime Heterosexuality border! =3
I'd like to start reading the manga...

From the six episodes I've seen so far, it really is wonderful. :) It's a lot different from the manga, though. The relationships are the same, but how they get to the couple point, is different.

Just finished watching the anime. :3 What a perfect ending! I won't give it away of course, but I love it. Makes me sad there is no more, though. >:

I watched the anime a few years ago (not sure how many) so I don't remember much, but I know I liked it.

As for anime/manga commonly featuring heterosexual pairings, did you mean on here? 'Cause there are lots of good homosexual anime/manga. XD;

PWEEP 03-16-2011 11:59 PM

I meant in general xP
