I remember this series being incredibly hilarious in the first half and the remaining half was so sad and serious that it made one want to cry.

I did like it but I think it should've stuck with serious acion or comedy action. or at least mix both types throughout.

It does go from funny to serious, but, well it hints that there's a more serious aspect to it being that Vash has a price on his head, so there's got to be a reason for that, you know? So as you get to know him and the rest of the characters you slowly get to understand his past and why he is the way he is, and that's where it gets sad.

I do like Trigun. It's one of those I'll re-watch occasionally just because it's good enough to want to. ^^

Trigun is a pretty good anime series. Animation is pretty clean for it's time, voice acting is well done (in japanese AND english) and the story line does a good job of keeping your attention with a balance of humour, action and a few parts drama for good measure.
Makes me happy I managed to get the complete series on DVD for only £25!!

My one hope is that when the film gets it's US release, they at least get the original voice cast that they had for the series!

Ive only seen however many episodes are on the first 2 discs. Havent been able to find it anywhere really, and only been able to borrow them from a friend. One of these days I will end up finishing it. Even though what everyone has said(that Ive read) in here already, how it changes, well, I'll probably forget that by the time I end up finishing that series. xD

I'm pretty sure you can find all of the episodes online somewhere. I know a couple of sites you can try if you're interested?

Ive got alot of stuff to watch already. I would get distracted by the many different animes, and would probably never fall asleep until I need to be up for work. But thanks for the offer. xD

Oh yes that was one of my favorite series to finish. So funny and then got deeper around the end but never in a way that seemed like it shouldn't. Vash acted funny and made you laugh but you could tell there was a more serious side to him. Ha! now i feel like watching it again. ^w^

I used to LOVE this anime when it was on Adult Swim!! I was so pissed when they stopped airing it! DX Hell, I even once started writing a fanfiction for it. .__. A crappy, self-insert fanfiction, at that. Good thing I only ever put up the first... two chapters of the thing on quizilla. >_>; (Don't go looking for it cause I took it down five years ago.)

Vash was so hilarious. I think I remember wondering who the main character was supposed to be for the first few episodes. Until I realized they kept mentioning Vash The Stampede and showing him everywhere. XDD;; I was only, like, 12 to 13 when I watched this show. Hell, I haven't even seen all the eps! I know there's at least two or three eps I missed because my parents wouldn't let me stay up and watch it. *pouts* We always went to 11:30 AM mass on Sundays, so I didn't understand what was the matter with me staying up late ON THE WEEKEND. *eye roll* Oh well. I'm almost 20 now, so they can't really yell at me anymore. XDD

If you go to animefreak.tv you can probably find the entire series there. :) I've watched a couple different anime series on there (Vampire Knight and Kuroshitsuji, both I and II), so it's pretty damn good. :)

Yeah, the films called Trigun: Badlands Rumble. It's classic Trigun and is meant to be the final fair well for the series. It got released in Japan last year and got aired without subs at a few conventions last year in the states (I think Sakura Con was the main one...I can't remember).
Funimation got the licensing for it, so it'll be getting a US release at some point this year I think. And as I said, I hope they don't screw it up with the voice cast should they get around to dubbing it!

Hey there, everyone.

Has anybody else here heard of the anime/manga Trigun?

It's one of my favorites, and the only thing that ever comes up when I use the little search bar in the forums is the one fanfiction that I have posted. It's a little worrying!

Since there's already a Trigun thread in this forum, I've gone ahead and merged them together.

I love Trigun. I bought the box set on DVD, which I rarely do.... I showed it to my cousin and he ended up liking it so much I gave it to him since I had watched the series like four or five times by then. xD

I can't decide if I love Vash or Nicholas more. xD

Nicholas is quite a good character, but I have to say I have quite the soft spot for Vash. He's a mysterious character, but at the same time so innocent and caring.

Both are Awesome. Vash is the goofy hero that you can depend on whether you know it or not, and Wolfwood is kind of a lone wolf...with a BIG gun. Cross Punisher owns all other weapons in this series!!

And I've just seen the dubbed trailer for the US Release of Badlands Rumble. While I can't tell if they brought back the voice actors for Millie, Meryl and Wolfwood, it DEFINITELY sounds like they brought JYB back to voice Vash the Stampede. As long as that's actually the case, I will happily watch this if it ever appears in the UK!

I love Trigun. Vash is hilarious, that donuts lover is adorable. I haven't finish it or I think I haven't, I'm not too keen on the idea that my cable went on when they were rerunning the whole series. xD

"It's so heavy because it's full of mercy."

And handguns, but eh, now you're just splitting hairs. Wolfwood is pretty much my favorite anime character.

I can only say to the title of this thread: Who DOESN'T like Trigun? It's been so long since I've seen it though. I'd probably watch it through again and get nostalgic as all get-out.

@hurpdeedurp you forget the machine gun and missle launcher, but who cares-it's awesome either way you look at it.

And Kifflemonster, I can't help but agree with you. I may watch it on DVD when I get back home.
