You could try watching Tsuritama. It's about four boys being tasked to save the world through fishing (no, really). It's silly, light-hearted, and has a fun plot that wraps up in only twelve episodes.
If you like slice-of-life that has nothing to do with highschool and such, try Usagi Drop. It's a tale about a thirty year old man who adopts his deceased grandfather's illegitimate daughter, to the surprise of the rest of the family. Watch the first episode to get the feel of the series; the rest is cuteness as he learns to cope with having to suddenly raise a child. Only has eleven episodes, so again, it's a short but nice series.
And final recommendation: If you like action (as well as homoromantic undertones), watch Tiger and Bunny. A great paced anime with very memorable characters. A good switch, if you want to see a multi-racial cast.
And this hasn't come out yet, but I have a feeling that you might like the upcoming magical girl/heroine "Ladybug" anime. ^^

Oh, and for manga suggestions, I would say to try reading Otoyomegatari, since it has very nice detailed art. For something light hearted that sometimes follow the 4-koma style, try Yandere Kanojo. The World God Only Knows is a harem+gaming genre that's pretty popular as well!

You could try reading any of the other graphic novels under the "Shojo Beat" franchise. They are usually marked with white spines with red letters, and have the bright pink SB for the logo. A lot of them animes/manga that you listed were in the shojo category. Especially Ouran High Host Club.
As for title series try either:
Black Bird
Vampire Knight
Black Butler (I would recommend the anime over the manga) -waits for things to be thrown at her or be attacked by rabid fangirls-
Skip Beat
Loveless (Loveless, while being a BL graphic novel is not that serious. Older teen at best, if that. Viz Media [the distributors of a ton of various graphic novels. Shonen Jump/ Shojo Beat have decided to pick up the last two volumes as well as re-release 1-6 in 3 different omnibus. The first which is slated to release on October 2nd, 2012.

Shugo Chara was a pretty good one.
Karin / Chibi Vampire was very entertaining to watch.
Azumanga Daioh is a very random one.
Lucky Star is a good one too.
Tokyo Mew Mew
Pani Poni Dash!
That's the best I can do with a bit of research down memory lane

More suggestions, but I'm mostly taking this from my friend's recommendations for ME XD
K-on!
Azumanga Daioh
Peach Girl
Jormungand
Baccano!
Mushishi
Durarara!!
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (Very random, but the Opening and Ending songs are so wonderful!)
Mawaru Penguindrum
So far, I've only watched Durarara fully (neat plot!) and am swinging through SZS right now. K-On! is made of cuteness, the first to watch out of this list. ^^

If you haven't already read it, Hana Kimi: For you in Full Blossom, as it's marketed name in English is a good manga, there's never been an anime of it, which is unfortunate, and it's a tad old, but the story is sweet. It's basically a gender bender shoujo about a girl who disguises herself as a boy to go to the school as a boy she admired after watching him compete in high jump competition on tv. It's funny and romantic.

Hmm, Vampire Knight is up there so I suppose that, that shall leave me with recommending Code Geass? It's about a former Prince who fights to overthrow the rest of his royal family. The prince can't let the public know he's the head of the rebellion though, especially when he attends school. The anime (or manga if you would prefer that, I've only watched it thus far) involves war and mechs as well. I certain enjoyed it, though I wish they would continue it just for the sake of ships I have created for it XP
