There was a ton of stuff around dragon quest that seemed to all be ripping each other off. I never played any of them out of annoyance. (ragnorak, maple story ect) they annoyed me that they were all identicle monsters. and i mean completely identicle.

At least SOA wasn't as bad if it had similarities.

I really only played Maplestory a few times back in the day.
Then I stopped it. Because I saw no point in it nomore.

It is not for everyone. I personally love so many different styles. Mapplestory brings out my inner kid, chibifying me while I pound on monsters.
They keep adding on to the main story. They have so many new classes from when it first released. A lot of those characters have their own stories too. Here is a list:

They introduced professions. You can get either mining and accessory crafting or herbalism and alchemy.
The events are fun because you can get coins which you can use to get a ton of different items.

Do those special event only classes become unplayable after the event?

No, the special events mean that is just when you are able to create them, you can play them whenever after that.

It can be pretty complicated at times, especially traveling from one section to the next, but if you get stuck or need some help, you can always refer to the Wiki.

AS long as it's not action MMO, I'll pass. Tried the regular MMOs, it's too boring for me.
I'm playing Tera Rising and That's an amazing MMO. So so fun (: at least there's an MMO were skill is the most important factor, not the gear that you wear.
