Sup, anime peeps?

I'm feeling like some seasonal anime at the moment, but don't know where to start. I should clarify that I'm not looking for anime that has come out during the summer season, but one that is about summer, or is set in it and is really full of the motifs of it. I'm guessing that something like that would probably come out of the slice of life genre. But as far as titles I should look for, I have no idea. Ideally, they would be readily and easily accessible online, without any hoops to jump through. Any ideas?

Maybe it's because of the title but the first one I think of that somewhat fits is the Summer Wars anime movie...I wouldn't know where to watch it online though, I had borrowed a DVD to watch it. It's a fun story, though a lot of what happens occurs to the characters' online alter egos. The summer heat is a significant part of the story, in a way despite that.

But it's a videogame/ fighting anime? I was aiming for something peaceful. It doesn't have to be shojo, but something more... character driven, not action driven.

There is an online world/game that is a significant part of the story, but the personalities of the characters is also important, and the way the online world and the 'real' world in the story come together is nicely done, in my opinion, but you're right, there is conflict so it's certainly not peaceful.

If you haven't seen it already, Lovely Complex is a nice shojo that's very much character driven, it's not entirely set in a summer period, but I think the second or third episode had the main characters go to a swimming pool, and there's also an episode where they go to the beach...
