Maybe. I think part of it is how easily it translates to different genres. It's easy to write human AU, or keep it canon (even without reading all the manga), or to drop into any historical period. To me, the plots are easy to come by and there are so many different pairings to ship.

Admin; Truth!! And then, you can just throw them in any scenario! I mean, look at Paint it White. They just threw the Axis and Allies into this thing where they had to save the world from an alien invasion. It's just so easy to place these characters into, well, anything really!

I watched Paint it White twice. I have no idea why I love it so much. I've been writing my own alien invasion fic because I so badly wanted a war setting, but I couldn't bring myself to make any country a 'bad guy'.

The song was wonderful, no matter how painful their voices can be.
Oh, I can make people bad when historically fit. But Russia is adorable and sad. He's an antagonist you feel for. Starting world war 3 was something I could not write though. That's why it had to be aliens. |

That is the perfect solution. America and China's Japanese voices are really the only ones from Axis/Allies that I don't like. I love England's, I ADORE Prussia's, Italy's is so cyoooot, and I really just don't like the dub voices. (( But dub Austria is so funny )) Mostly cause I watch it with English subs. |
I dunno that I love anyone's voice though england and france might be it. I've watched a bit of english dub and sub each. I prefer sub. The words are different between them. It's the singing voices that really get me though.

Admin; England and Italy's singing voices are the best, I think. The others aren't really as good. Though I love Vorwärts Marsch! but I don't know why. Eh. Yeah, I think sub voices are better. But, both Americas are about the same ( Sub America gets a little annoying at times; voice wise )

I think Italy's is one of the worst. O.o Not that I don't have the closing song he sings on my ipod.
