Hetalia
So, I am wondering if there are any Hetalia fans here on Menewsha? I have tried to search for the tags of Hetalia and gone back a few pages but not seen a thread about it. So I couldn't help but wonder if anyone here has heard of it and or watches it.
I myself am a Hetalia fan, my favorite character is Germany aka Ludwig. Why? I don't know, he just caught my eye and has been my favorite since. So I must ask. Who is your favorite Hetalia character and why? Don't worry if you can't really explain why, sometimes one just feels "connected" to a certain character. I guess that's also partly why I like Germany. |
My favourite character is a tie between England and France [yes] (that may be because I ship them but we'll never know)
England is my spirit animal, we share the same eyebrows 8'D but France is very attractive and France. I love the french language and France itself so that's probably why *u* I also like Romano. The butt. |
For reasons I cannot fathom, I am forever a fan of Japan. xD
I just... liked him the moment he appeared on screen somehow. I found his being easily exasperated and attempts at order truly adorable. But I find Austria the most attractive of the male countries personified. It doesn't help he has glasses. /meninsuitstoo For a time, because of how fond I was of Austria, I actually wanted to cosplay Hungary for the 'rights' to be linked with Austria. I've long outgrown that though but the thought still makes me giggle at my silliness years back. |
I actually think the cutest guy in Hetalia is Seborga [rofl]
Romano was my favourite for ages before France and England, and Seborga is like a less rude version of him. Its amazing. I do like Austria's ability to play the piano though [drool] |

We were supposed to do a cosplay group (fell apart at the last minute) and I was the only one that actually pulled through. Oh well, I made a ton of friends at the con and was one of three Prussia in this uniform. It was pretty sweet. Btw, this was back in 2010. I guess, since I was dubbed Prussia, I just fell in love with the character. I fun him quite hilarious and I really enjoyed running around as him. Made for a fun con. |
One of my more distant friends went to their graduation party dressed as Prussia (with the red and blue uniform). The post circled around tumblr for a while.

Jelly! I wanted to be dubbed America. I think America and Germany are probably my fav two (well, before I was told I had to like Prussia).
And that's funny that your friend went to a party like that. I also went to a party as Prussia... only it was my grandparent's 50th anniversary. I didn't have time to change and my mom was like, "Oh just show up in costume. They'll love it." Afterwards, they said it wouldn't have been a party without me doing something crazy. I guess running around in white hair was crazy enough. The other old folk found it funny that I had whiter hair than they did. Silly old people being silly. XD |

I love it how people depict him, Spain and France in fan art and fan fic as the Bad Touch Trio [rofl] I read a fic once where they went to a really big store that I'm pretty sure we don't have in Australia so I've forgotten the name but they went and had a list of what to do there and did really stupid things and it was amazing. If I had a cosplay I would probably go everywhere in it 8'D |
I'm surprised to see this thread lives a little xD Apparently having the "Instant email notification" doesn't send you a notification at all to let you know there has been a reply made to the thread. But oh well! I'm glad that there are some Hetalian's around Mene.
I've never really been dubbed as anyone nor have I cosplayed; due to there not being any conventions in Iceland and I don't have the money to travel abroad and join any conventions *forever alone* I do have friends online who like Hetalia. No friends outside of my online friends. If I had to be dubbed as someone I guess I'd be dubbed N.Italy, that is, if you catch me in that hyperactive bouncy adhd mood. But honestly, I'm not sure which one I'd actually be, I can't relate to just one character. But Germany will forever have my top one favorite place. |
I have a lot of RL friends who like Hetalia, but they do not ship my ships if they ship at all OTL
Maybe one day you will be able to 8'D conventions mostly happen outisde of my state, so I have to fly if I want to go to conventions as well OTL |
I'm a fan of the manga, and I think the dub is funny, though at times they do go somewhat OTT with it I think- I enjoy the satire, not the outright effort at shock value they throw in with it.
I don't really ship and I don't really have a favourite character. I have a fondness for Russia due to studying it's history for a lot of my teens, but as of late he's not the glaring favourite anymore due to how alot of people interpret/RP him nowadays. All in all it's not a bad time waster when you've got five minutes spare. |
I love Hetalia, one of my fave anime. My favorite character is Romano because I can connect to him a lot.

For unknown reasons, I love Russia the most out of all of them.
I am though just a Anime/Manga fan in general. I could have hours of conversations about all different kinds and which ones are my favorite and such. |
I'm surprised there don't seem to be more hetalia shippers here. I've recently become obsessed. Lately my favorite pairing is Denmark/Sweden. The classic France/England is always good too.

Also, I ship every ship. I don't dislike any ships; I ship them all. Some not as much as others, but I still ship them. FrUK, USUK, RusAme, PruCan, Gerita, the like. Ja, I am just that awesome! |
heh. Prussia has become my favorite character.
I'm pretty much worldxworld shipping these days except with characters I deem to be children. I don't love a lot of the popular ships, but I don't hate them. I have this...rare pair shipping disease. |

Oh nice. I haven't finished art in a long time, so I don't have fandom drawings up. It's somewhere...buried rather deep in my list of things to do. I'd like to illustrate some of my writing.

I didn't used to finish as much, but since graduating college, I've had a lot of time and inspiration on my hands. I've written hundreds of thousands of words this year. Literally.

:3 I minored in creative writing. It's sorta what I do. I never wrote fanfics really until this past June so it's kinda surprising that's what I've been doing lately.
