I haven't read it in a while, and from what I've heard it's gone down, but I still loved it the last time I read it. Which was probably sometime last year...xP

I remember reading the sonic comics when i was a kid. Was like the first comics I really read. gawd, I had to be like 7 ot 8, and read them for quite a while. Hmm, I think when I ended Knuckles might of just gotten introduced.
Sally was always my favorite and then Bunny and Tails.

Trinalove, posting lyrics is spam on here. Either put it in a quote, or don't put it in at all.
Anywyas, I used to LOVE the Sonic comics when I was eight and thought Sonic was the best thing ever to exist.
FANG WAS THE BEST CHARACTER EVER. EVER. Knuckles ain't got nothing on him. D<

Oh man, I used to buy them at the local drugstore like...8, maybe 9 years ago?
The Knuckles Series was absolute love, as they fleshed out a LOT about the Floating Island, not to mention the Echidna race.
I hope I still have my issues somewhere...as this is making me want to reread them.

I never even know that Sonic had a comic book out. Although I used to play the game like crazy back in the day when I still had my sega... and then later I watched the cartoon on T.V. I wonder where you could even find the comics here.

I used to love Sonic, especially the comic books but then they decided to release... *scary music*
Sonic and Mario Olympics D:
But the comics and TV shows are still pretty good, especially the older ones, they started to get sort of lame over time ^^;;

I don't know where to start. I've been following the Sonic comic book series since the beginning, so I could make a long and boring summary of the series or I could give a quick opinion. O: I'll try to do the latter.
The Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series is based off the old '90s Sonic cartoon, Sonic the Hedgehog. Fans refer to the old cartoon series as SaTAM, or Saturday morning(Sonic), to distinguish it from other franchises. During SaTAM's lifespan, there was an even older Sonic cartoon airing on TV titled 'Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog,' which provided a much funnier and light-hearted entertainment rather than the deep, immersive world SaTAM had to offer.
Here's links to some SaTAM sites just to give you an overall view of how popular the cartoon series is:
http://www.saturdaymorningsonic.com/
http://www.satamsonic.com
At first, Sonic the comic started out as a humorous comic aimed towards kids. It had the immature appeal of Adventures of StH. Eventually, Archie comics gave the characters more interesting personalities, a deeper world, and basing the story loosely and tightly during and after the SaTAM series.
EDIT :: Speaking of gimmicks, many readers were upset of the announced betrayal of friends between Sonic and Tails in the latest issue. I was skeptical(I mean who wouldn't be, it's like the seperation of Luke and the freakin' Force XD), but this issue is -the- best one I've read so far. The story makes sense; Tails' father gave hints to his actions in passed comic books with his decieving personality and menacing facial gestures, Sonic's selfish personality really shines, Mammoth Mogul, Nack, Bean, and former King Acorn(Sally's father) all make either hilarious or comments really furthering the storyline, and etc. I guess I'm a /nerd to the comics and thanks for continuing to read if you are, but I guess everyone has a certain obsession. :B
Many fans stopped reading the comic because of its acclaimed 'rediculous' storyline, and while the writers may have taken things too far at some points and used too many gimmicks, in my opinion this is far better than Adventures of StH, Sonic Underground, and definately far better than Sonic X. Sadly Archie's publishing a comic about Sonic X now, and I hope it dies off soon so classics like Knuckles the Echidna comic book series can be re-acquanted with long-time readers.
I definately rambled I guess, but there it is. If you like Sonic X that I believe was taken off the air recently, then give SaTAM a shot. It was just this year released on DVD because of high demand. You can typically find it in the kids section in Best Buy or other large stores. If you want to subscribe to the comic books, there's the Archie website too.

I um, read the first Sonic the Hedgehog comic book. I think I collected them for quite a while after that. I just don't remember what issue. I haven't collected in years, but I know that I had all the side ones too, like the trilogies for Princess Sally Acorn...she was so cool.
I remember when she went from blonde to black to brunette (or was that kind of red?)...
o.O; I think she was only blonde for the first issue? Or was that black? I think it was blonde?
I remember the knothole and all that good stuff, and when they introduced Knuckles...I think it's time I go hunting for my old Sonic comics now. Buh bye. Nostalgic, isn't it? ^___^

Sonic the hedgehog comics are hard to find now i remember the really old ones but they weren't that great all sonic did was flirt with female hedgehogs. I got to admit some of them are hot but its sorta lame.
