My favourite manga is pretty much anything by Ai Yazawa, especially Paradise Kiss and Nana. <3
I also really love the Ouran manga! :D I'm not too keen on the Ouran anime though, I just really think the manga is better...:sweat: It's also good though!

I adore any manga by Arina Tanemura, especially Fullmoon O Sagashite, that really inspired me, and her art is gorgeous! :heart:

My first major favourite was Fruits Basket, which was a very large chunk of me, fan wise, for a good year or so. xD; I've moved on from it now, although it's a good series to read if you like cute/sweet stories (with dramatic undertones, of course).

I actually started reading it years before the english translation came out. My ex-boyfriend (who consequently was from Japan) got me hooked on it fast. I've always had a love for gore and psychological thrillers ever since.

Oh, I have so many different manga, it's hard to pick one...
I like Ouran High School Host Club, Yu Yu Hakusho, Absolute Boyfriend, Hana Kimi, Naruto, Bleach, Black Sun Silver Moon, Dragon Drive, and I even have one for Phoenix Wright! I think those are my favorites... :] I never got to read Zombie Powder, but I was told it was good.

I'm not too big about anime, though there are a few I like (Trigun and most the shows the originally showed on adult swim are high up there)

I love manga though, and have a huge collection. I'd have to say my favorties are:


Petshop of Horrors. Interesting characters in a strange setting. It starts off feeling like each chapter could stand by itself as a story, and then suddenly everything connects together.


King of Thorn. The manga starts off with an sad, gripping story about a pair of sisters, and then moves on into the action packed horror setting that just draws you in.


Monster. There is nothing I hate about this manga, nothing at all. The character development is amazing, and the story line is something that's both haunting and intriguing. What gets me most is it's so full of twists and turns as the "hero" chases after the main antagonist, but it manages to avoid having the "L/Kira" complex where everyone knows more than they should for the sake of dynamics.
This is the top one I recommend to people first getting into manga as well, since the art is as much realistic as it is anime, and the main character is perfectly human, making him a bit easier to relate to than a magical school girl.

Those are my top ones, though I also love Uzumaki and Gyo, Chrono crusade, and Bizenghast.
