I absolutely adore Matsuri Hino. I fell in love with her work on MeruPuri, and Vampire KNight was like a gift from above. Sounds very dramatic, but I'm a very dramatic person. Not the bad kind of drama, like, Foo! Why you touchin my skittles B!?
But I like to add flourishes to dull statements and such. But anyway, Matsuri Hino is my favorite manga artist, tied with the creator of Beauty Pop. Quote:

Also i read a few chapters online to.. but not anymore... only did/does it to keep up with spoilers. |
my favorite character is kaname, least favorite is zero, or yuki, I also like the plot twists, but I read it in shojo beat. I enjoy the manga alot cause she is a good artist and does good plot twists, but it is semi stereotypical to older anime, but she does give it a nice light to it, so I am actually never really opposed to the series.

Does the anime version count? I can't buy the mangas because I'm almost always broke. I don't know if anybody uploaded the manga in youtube. Anyways, my favorite character is Yuuki because she's sweet and reminds me of most of my favorite characters in other animes. My least favorite character is Takuma's grandfather because he just rubs me the wrong way. I like the anime because it's interesting. It has vampires and I like the how they drawn each of the characters. There's no fillers (in the anime). I watched all the episodes and can't wait til the the second season is released next month. :squee:

I think Vampire Knight has lately become a little... dramatic. By my rough and untrustworthy estimation skills, Matsuri Hino has spent 5-10 chapters on one night. Yes, the number is probably far off, but my point remains that when was the last time anything substantial happened? And my definition of substantial is something other than an angsty flashback courtesy of Zero (a.k.a. Chapter 44) The drama has gotten to the point where I dare say that Zero, Yuuki, and Kaname are my LEAST favorite characters. My heart belongs to the oft-unnoticed Kain (his unrequited love for Ruka is just too cute).
... as a note, since I REALLY don't want anyone to hate me, I don't hate Vampire Knight. It does still have really pretty art if that makes what I was talking about above a little less nasty. |
I need to go buy these!! Well the ones I don't have I don't remember what vol was the last one I bought! T_T Matsuri Hino makes amazing manga<3

Vampire Knight.....I LOVE THIS SERIES. So far I've read up to 44(which is all thats out so far) and ive seen all the anime episodes they have out so far too. I used to hate Kaname but now I love him. <3 Because I found out his motives to everything. I swear the series goes to a point that I never thought it would....>.>
I still love Zero though and I wish with all my heart and all of my being that him and Yuki get together. Cause he's just....nondescribably perfect in everyway. How can someone not love him? Any one who does not love him is incredibly insane and should go jump off a cliff or something along those lines. ^^ |
I am a big fan of Vampire Knight. My favorite character is Zero and I don't have a least favorite. I usually watch it online since I won't be able to by the volumes and what not.
I really think Zero and Yuuki make a cute couple :D |
I've read some of the manga online and I love the series. The story is interesting and the art is gorgeous! My favorite character has to be Kaname. Needless to say, this means I'm a fan of the KanamexYuki pairing. Zero is cool and everything, but I just can't imagine him ending up with Yuki.

I really like this manga. I kinda stole the drawing style and made it my own. I especially like that unlike the usual vampire based manga, this one has a very complex plot that shows the characters on a very personal and in-depth level.
It inspired me a lot, and my manga got a little better. I also like the other manga done by Matsuri Hino. Her storylines and style just seem to catch your eye, ne? |
Sometimes I wonder if the question shouldn't be "why should Yuuki like Zero, when she has Kaname" but something more along the lines of "why shouldn't Yuuki like Zero, when Kaname is her brother". I know Matsuri Hino has explained how pureblood vampires often marry their siblings, but doesn't anyone else just think that's plain weird?

I love "Vampire Guilty" because I love the entire Night Class. Okay, so I'm a tad Vampire boy crazy. As for my favorite boys well they are Kaname and Zero.

But I must agree. I as soo happy when I read/saw that. :D |
favorite character has to be Zero and Aidou just realized that they are also polar opposites of one another in personalities i just laugh every time i see Aidou and Zero is just the serious aspect of the show
Least fav the vice-president grandfather can't remember the name though i think that i like the manga because it is a little different then the usual vampire mangas and it has a good storyline that has a lot of twist. I will say that i am enjoying the anime a lot haven't started the second season yet. i read it online mostly works alot easier when the schedule is busy and you can't get to the book store. :P |
I looove Vampire Knight!
Hmm....my favorite character....probably Zero...I have no idea why, I just love him! lol I don't think I have a least favorite character... Vampires ;D and the romance....I love romance mangas ._. I read it online, wish I owned it though lol |

I also have a great adoration for Aidou. :3 EEEE He's just utterly adorable. So cute, funny. Daft, silly, but he's a great character. His bond to Kaname makes me smile. :33 Aidou just... makes me happy, LOL. Least favorite? Takuma's grandfather, DEFINITELY. Urgh. He kind of.... gets on my nerves. I'm really just not a fan of the Council at all. >.< Zero and I have a love hate relationship. Sometimes I like him, but other days he gets on my nerves - he reminds me far too much of Fruits Baskets' Kyo. >.< Grawr! LOL I had another love/hate relationship with Shizuka. xD Bwahhaa I love the manga, though, for the drawings, of course, as I'm kind of shallow in that department. But what REALLY enraptures me is the storyline. Most Shojo is prety predictable and follows a certain path, but this isn't a story solely about romance. There are plot twists and turns and it just gives me backlash, I swear, haha. The vampires are fabulous and deal with such dark matters. Yukkii with Kaname and Zero keep me on the edge of my seat (YukkiiKaname!!!). Guh. It's amazing. I read it online. =[ I don't have much money, so I can't buy it. However, my friend Sagakure makes the BEST scanlations and I love to read it in her journal, cos she posts theories and ideas and in the confusing bits, explains what's going on. :33 Quote:
a.) I LOVE the screenname. b.) Do you mean MeruPuri? Cos that one is FABULOUS! I read it in one weekend and bawled. xD Was fabulous. :33 Quote:
Especially because they weren't exactly raised together - not as siblings. They were raised as friends, with Yukkii falling in love with him. I think it was inevitable that they would be together, so no, I don't at all find it weird ^^ |

1. So far my favorite character is Zero and his twin brother Ichiru, I also like Aidou, Shiki, Kain, and Yagari Sensei
2. My least favorite would be no one. Because they are all unique in all ways. 3. Ahh. I enjoy this manga so much because it's so exciting to read. And because the guys are all cute no matter where you look at them. 4. I read it online and Watch it online. |
I started reading Vampire Knight a few months ago, the new online chapters come once a month so I tend to forget what happened in the previous chapter. lol. The main reason why I continue to read is because I love watching relationship Yuki and Zero's relationship grow. Darnit, I want to see if they get together in the end, pahaha I can dream. I'd say my favourite characters are Rima, Shiki, Zero and Yagari. I'm not very fond of Kaname, he's too manipulative and I dislike how Yuki/Kaname is just handed to us on a plate. I don't find it romantic at all. D:

I have never read Vampire Knight, but I have seen a few episodes of the anime. Not exactly my favorite, sorry.
