Vampire Knight. Anyone a fan?

I started reading it in Shojo Beat magazine, though I didn't read the first few chapters. So when the volume came out I was very happy since I could finally understand what's going on. Though it wasn't that hard to understand.

I'm a fan of this manga, very good in my mind. Though I can be biased because I like anything about vampires. xD

Do you read it in Shojo Beat, online, own the volumes? Or all of the above?

I've read volume one. It seems pretty interesting. Not in my top favorite yet, but interesting. *shrugs* I'll wait to see how the story continues.

Art wise, I'm loving the designs.

I think it needs time to grow on me. xD But I think I'm wary of how the relationships will turn out. At this moment, I'm not exactly fond of Yuki (the girl right?). She's a little... too peppy and well sue-ish for the matter. (Oh please don't make the main point of the story be a love triangle >.<)

The designs are awesome. I love Bloody Rose (which is the gun I believe?)

Kaname, what do I love the Kaname? xD Well other then fact that he's just hot, his personality is based off my favorite type of character, loose, slightly aloof, cool, and handsome to the boot. xD

I think him caring about Yuki is kinda cute. *nods*

Seito; Yeah. I understand you there. I jumped into the manga half way, though I'm really liking how the story is going so far. Haha about Yuki, though I can see where you're coming from with that.

Yes Yuki makes me worries. and I generally don't like characters that are like her. -.-;;;

yay for hot guys. xD Now watch once the fandom spreads everyone will pretty much love him, maybe Zero too (that or they'll completely hate Zero) and obsessed over Kaname and probably won't like Yuki should she ever be paired up with him. xD

Totally true. Hot guys are awesome, no? I'm a little bit a fan of Zero, though I like Kaname better. Maybe as the story moves on I might hate him, who knows. I really like the manga, so I wanna know what happens next. =x But I obsess over Kaname. xD

yeah. Well it would have been one those mangas that I would have let it gather a couple volumes and if and when I'm at the bookstore and have nothing to read, I would have read it then. *nods* I pride myself in at least trying to read the first couple chapters of every manga series that comes out. (unless I can tell right away that I won't like the story)

I really hope things become more interesting (especially with Yuki). I will be very disappointed if things didn't.

The uniforms too. If I ever cosplay that shall be one of the uniforms (the night class one) of course that after I try like the KH ones and the FMA ones, and etc etc. xD

I'm usually very picky about my manga. Though I'm more into shojo, so meh. I have things that I like and I know what I like, so I've very picky.

I will be very disappointed too, I really like how it's going so far so I can't wait to see how it progresses.

Zero is getting on my nerves, though so is Yuki. Kaname is fun to obsess over. More Kaname plz. xD

I'm picky too, but I usually give it a chance. My likes are wide (and art has a huge influence, if it looks pretty then it's good), action, fighting, drama, mystery, romance, comedy, etc. xD

Nope, don't cosplay. Wish I did, but don't have the time and money to cosplay. The best I can do is walk around with a pair of cat ears on my head. ^^

Yeah Zero's personality is... boring? I'm a little tired of the reluctant hero. And as I said, Yuki is just... too bouncy and sue-ish. >.<;;;

The story can be good, but if the art isn't then it doesn't interest me as much. But if the art is good and story is meh, okay then I usually still love the manga. xD

well most of it depends on how much I want to invest into it. My workplace has pre-made cosplays (ranging from 40-200 dollars, but is missing most of the other stuff like swords, jewelry, etc. It's just the clothes part). It doesn't look that good, but if I really wanted to, that would work.

Making it from scratch would have more of my own personal touch verse pre made but would cost more money to buy the material, put it together and whatever little pieces I'm missing.

Then the range of difficulty depends on how much MORE time and money you need. If you're gonna do something like Sora from KH then you need all these little extra things to make the costume work. However if you do something simple like Kagome from Inuyasha (which is just school uniform) it might not cost you as much.

And... I'm going off topic here.

Anyways, relationships, from what I've seen, I'm not happy with either of them. If Yuki let's say changes and loses some of the peppy, naive part of personality, then I might settle for Kaname/Yuki but until then I'm neutral.

Or I might take a left swing somewhere and come up with a shonen ai pairing. xD

Where do you work? You don't have to answer that if you don't want to. That's cool, though I'm guessing the accesories are costly. I don't know much about cosplay.

If the art is bad, then it makes the story harder to follow (in my opinion).

xD I work at an anime/video game store. Yeah it gets a bit costly, but I mean everything is right there if I want to pay the price. Let's say I want to do Sora from KH. No costume at the store, so I would have to sword it together, then $30+ dollars for the keyblade, $12+ for each piece of jewelry (let's see necklace, chain, gloves, so $12+ x 3 = $36 at least), probably another $20+ to do my hair. xD Yeah close to $200 at least. (cause material, sewing, all the little buttons, hooks, etc)

Hehe yeah. Shonen ai pairings usually happen because people don't like the female character and read too much into subtle, non existance hints. xD Like me.

I'm totally different from you on that point. It's okay if the art is bad, though I would like it to be good though I won't hate it if it was bad. If it's a good story I like it.

It's actually not as great. xD But yeah at least I know all the latest info and stuff. Some people who cosplay are willing to pay the price, others are just resourceful and find shortcuts that will give them the effect for a cheaper price. (It'll just take more time). I mean you could probably build your own keyblade just using some wooden, cardboard, glue and paint. Cheaper then actually buying the real thing. xD

xD Absolutely. xD I mean I hate Sakura from Naruto, thus an instant fan of Sasunaru. xD It would make things super interesting, especially since Zero hates vampires (especially pureblood ones) and their peresonalities are different...

exactly! uniqueness (or as I like to say, strangeness) makes the world go round. XD

That's the other fear of cosplay. Will you look good in it? Japanese cosplayer (the ones actually from japan) usually don't have to worry, their body structure already fits the character they're trying to play.

On the other hand, here in America we have different body types/shapes/colors. I mean as much you try, a blond hair, blue eye Kagome is never work as well as someone who looks Asian and has black hair.

And for those of us who aren't skinny as a stick (even those who just a little chubby like me :P) wearing cosplays don't always tend to work unless then the characters have that type of body. In other words, it's hard to pull off a good cosplay.

Go ahead and say it. xD I probably won't remember, or I won't care as much. Plus it's a great way to keep up our conversation. xD We 've done a page already.

Zero was bitten by a pureblood vampire. Which means in Vampire Knight that he is a vampire himself. It's quite funny, to me anyways. He hates vampires, yet he's one. xP Wow. I didn't notice. xD I don't usually have convos with people on here, unless they're my friends so this is quite nice.

If I remember correctly, vol 1 ends somewhere around the time, Yuki gets the gun and Zero's seal gets a upgrade. But I'm not sure.

I'm from Hawaii, so it's still a bit on the early side for me. *nods* It's rare, you must admit. Usually, (probably) subconsciously, people marry from the same nationality. It usually works out for the better because then that's less traditions and habits to get use to. If anything, I know people marry from the same area of the world (like Asian marrying Asian, European marrying European, etc etc)

I probably might give it a shot once I have a better feel of the characters and after reading about 100+ fanfics with them. Cause yeah mangas and animes introduce them to me, but fanfics are actually the way I really connect to the characters. (Tis why I'm stuck in the Naruto, FMA and Shaman King section only. No matter how much I try to expand. >.>)
