Actually if you're going by timing, Aerysta, Akane would be first since Soun and Genma promised that their kids would be married to join the schools. Followed by Ukyo, the Shampoo and Kodachi just added her to the list somehow. >>

Yeah but I do agree with you on not liking any of the cannon pairings. I dunno I think Ranma is getting the short end of the stick, Shampoo would be better off with Mousse ( after he grows up a bit) Ukyo needs a friend like Ranma not a husband like him. Kodachi is just crazy. And Akane... well if she fixed her temper, then maybe the Ranma/Akane pairing would work.

Kasumi and Dr. Tofu were kinda cute. Kasumi deserves him, Dr. Tofu just needs to grow a backbone. If he isn't careful, Kasumi might find someone who could actually talk to her instead of stammering and becoming.

Like I said early I'm not fond of the Ranma/Akane relationship. But that's an awesome line Sherezade I don't remember it either. xD

@Shosho - I agree! She's a genius! Though some of it can be repeative after awhile.

Actually as stated previously Genma & Soun made a promise they'd marry their kids before they were born, so yeah, Akane was always the first fiance.

And Ukyo- Ryoga .. well, some people think of them as a pairing but .. if you've read the manga that's highly unlikely. The anime did end abruptly and oddly ; it was hardly following the plotline by last season ( which is 6, I think)

The only reason why I would understand the Ukyo- Ryoga pairing is because they're always teaming up to break up Akane and Ranma. Other then that, no idea why people get this pairing.

((I think it's official, I don't have a favorite pairing in Ranma. Weird... Then again, I don't really have a real one for Inuyasha [except for maybe Sessy/Rin] so maybe it's just way the series are set up.))

i love the anime too! but the ending was so predictable that i was disappointed at it.

If you're looking for Ryoga pairings, I always favored Akari/Ryoga, personally...hehehe...

But it wasn't even an ending! I don't remember what the 'final' episode was; I never cared about the anime too much after season 2, tho I did watch it entirely : some episodes were good, and some were terrible, sucky fillers which had at the same time the worst visual quality @@;; I always wondered what the hell happened XP

i dunno, i guess i'm easily amused. i can't remember crappy filler episodes at all XDDD;;; tho i admit i did like certain ones better than others. but i did like practically all of them XD!

I love the manga! I cheer for ranma. The wacky martial arts are brilliant! Reminds me of chinese movies who I'm sure copied Ranma.

my favorite page of manga was the ones where Akane and Cat Ranma. ex: first kiss and by the ocean with girl cat ranma. <3

I plan to find a japanese one because the voice acting on the english sounded super horrible for me... and the art was old. the manga seemed better.

But still, Ranma1/2 love forever!

I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of Happosai's perverted tendencies. In the words of DJclive, "I think Ranma 1/2 the series suffered a bit the minute old Happy arrived on the scene". But when he isn't being a perv, he's pretty funny, right?

I own 25 out of like... the 32 or so Manga :) Loooooove Ranma (though can only stand some of the Anime, as the voices change too often and a lot of the voices don't really seem to fit the characters :( )

I actually like Shampoo better than Akane and Nibiki. Akane is violent and overreacts to everything and Nibiki is too greedy... and I think that Ukyo was the best of the girls because unlike all the others she was kind to Ranma, is a great cook, and in my opinion the cutest one there.

this was one of my first anime :XD i love it! I've always had a crush on Kuno :heart: Theres apparently a season or OVA (can't remember which) of it that isn't in america yet. i wanna see it but sadly there are no torrent or download of it any where :-x

ranma 1/2 was a great series. i can watch this series over and over. and i actually enjoy watching it in eng dub. even though i was quite disappointed with the ending but all in all i loved this series. haven't read the manga though

I've only begun to read it this year. Although it was super popular when I first got into the anime scene in the mid '90's. I didn't have money to collect all the stuff and the resources weren't avalable back then. Most things had to be mailed ordered because libraries and book stores didn't carry manga back then.

Anyway it's super awesome and have to order more vol since the library doesn't have this particular manga. Could make a suggestion i suppose but i don't know how easy that would be. I've read vol 1-3 and another Rumiko Takahashi work Mermaid Scar. She is crazy good and one of my favorite mangaka.
