if its another topic about this awesomely great anime you can delete this, just wanted to share my thought upon D being one of the hottest hunters i ever seen, and left hand being so entertianning to say the least
between the first one which seems to have been made like what 10-15+ years to the newest one that came out a few years back to me this character and anime movies rank high on the must see list, so go.....git, go rent Vampire hunter D and Vampire hunter D: Blood Lust.....go on....shoo! shoo!

D~~ I love D. The Barbarois clan is my favoritest mess of creatures ever. <333
Have you read the D novels? They're even awesomer than the movies. D is so ridiculously overpowered in them. It's great. xD

The novels are AWESOME. There's little actual depth or anything, but the world Hideyuki Kikuchi crafted is amazingly interesting. Plus it's a fun read, and the translation is pretty well-done, in my opinion.

I have Vampire D Bloodlust and I absolutely loved it! >w< The first time I watched it was with a bunch of friends around Halloween and the art and animation was so amazing I couldn't take my eyes off. Owo D is indeed a very pretty hunter and the hand made me laugh all the time. The first movie was nuckin futz and I saw that after Bloodlust. My friend and I agreed the second one was done a lot better story and art wise. I know that there were some animation limitations for that era...but it was pitiful I think. ><; All I know is they made up for it in Bloodlust. >w<

hmm i think the first Vamp D had a similar problem like Akira had. though Akira was more drastic.
it terms. cutting out things from the novel that would have made the anime flow better. there were things that were just not explained.
well. at least it got its foot hold enough to have a second part.

I'm working on the Novels myself, I'm on the second before school ended last year, hope to pick back up into it. I got to see the first movie on TV with my family. Though Bloodlust I ended up taking two days to watch it via Youtube...thank you Youtube. I like both none the less due to I respect that differences in how they produced anime at their respected times.

I've always like Vampire Hunter D. My dad had the original movie, and I used to watch it when I was younger.
I liked the newer one, simply because I was revelling in the nostalgia. It wasn't bad, but I just remember near the end I kept thinking, "Is this movie ever going to be over?"
It was fight scene after fight scene after fight scene. But I still enjoyed watching it.
