If you've read this manga, (or seen the anime version thing of it <3) then what's your opinon on it? Personally I think it's one of the best manga I've ever read, I love the storyline, and plot and teh way a serious moment is generally turned upside down by a ridiculous or funny quote by a character.

Who are your favoroite characters as well? I personally Love Belial. The mad hatter is one of my favoroite characters, just because, she seems kinda, crazy x) And said one of my fav quotes in the whole books <3

I've only read up to book 10, and I am absolutely in love with it. The artwork is one of the best parts of the books, even though I absouletely adore the storyline and the way it is set out <3

Also, does anyone else like some of the other series the Author, Kaori Yuki has written?

Kaori Yuuki is AMAZING. I totally love her stuff.

Alas, i find Angel Sanctuary to be the weakest of her stories. It starts off ridiculously well, but then it just drags. Even with all the great characters, it was a real struggle to finish. I'll just stick with Cain, methinks.

hum haven't actually read the manga myself, i think i only read the first one if any at all. but i have seen the art book and its just stunning. i love her style of drawing <3 so pretty.

I adore Kaori Yuuki and all of Angel Sancuray I have read. I'm hoping to get more of it soon. It's amazing so far and I need to read more of her stuff I did start God Child but I need to get her other manga still

Kaori Yuki is my favorite mangaka as well. Nothing beats her twisted stories and lovely art.

I haven't read Angel Sanctuary, but I love her one-shot Boys Next Door. It was so sad.

Hint hint: Start with Count Cain. or Cain Saga. Whatever title Viz has it under. Godchild is actually the second half of Caine. So basically if you start with Godchild, you're starting at volume... 6? I think that's it.

@Asham- Angel Sanctuary is about a brother who gets an incestuous relationship with his sister. He's also the reincarnation of Alexiel, one of the most powerful angels who rebelled and pissed God off. It's really hard to explain, since the plot spreads out so many ways. But that's the basic gist for the beginning.

Asham~what algretto said about angel sanctuary is pretty much what happens in the beginning and it spirals off in so many ways, like he said.

Boys next door was sad ;_; I loved it though <3 For a one shot, It was brilliant. :3

It made like zero sense..but I loved it because of the artwork.

I watched the anime but have yet to read the manga. >.< It was so good but so short.

Actually, the anime OVA cut out a LOT from the first arc. Go for the manga. Much more enjoyable.

This is my favorite well actually not my favorite work from kaori yuki I just loveed Boys Next Door.. I cried x.x the story was so sad well this is about angel santuary

I'm not sure who is my favorite character I think Sevi.. <--- Name? X3 she was soo amazing.. I really loved the characters >.< The only character I ever hated from Angel sactuary is SARA!!!! she was so f***ing annoying I just wanted to kill her every second X3, Setsuna had his annoying moments but nothing like Sara </3 Katou was also one of my favorites I think his character was really enjoyable and cute, he was a really good person, I guess I could talk and talk about angel sanctuary the whole day x___x it was one of my first mangas *o* like 5.. years ago? so I went mad with it and Kaori Yuki's artwork is amazing ;o; and it was so sad sometimes... that's why I love Sevi <3 RosielxKatan was so cutee >w< it was really sad when Katan got killed.. I couldn't belive it.. I'm glad they got together at the end it was one of my favorite couples ever... they had such a sad relationship and they loved each other so much I really wanted them to end up together as well as Lucifer Alexiel.. I was really happy with the ending.. except.. for Kurai I wanted her to be with Setsuna but then the story wouldn't have made much sence.. x___x Sara should have died or something humm put that in white so I don't spoil much x___x heheh

I love and worship Kaori Yuki's works!! I love them I like a lot angel sanctuary, it has a very good plot and she really built ever character in the manga I just love all of them!! the only one hated is Sara besides that everything is wonderful! but I admit she was a necessary evil.

I have read almost all, less the newer ones, and the only ones finished completly are cruelty fairy tales, boys next door, angel sanctuary, gravel kingdom, Kaine, Blood Hound, and Neji
I still have to look at Fairy cube (only one chap read), 0 no Soukoushi, and psycho Knocker.

I read all in scans, so that's why I haven't read newer stuff v.v here I can get my hands in her manga, only Count cain and Angel sanctuary v_v

I have seen 3 anime episodes, are there more? I really enjoyed the plot. I came across an artbook at a convention after I saw it and picked that up right away. :D I keep it on my coffee table.

Nope. It was only a 3-episode OVA that ended on the cliffhanger of the first story arc. Silly OVA.

I have two of the Angel Sanctuary mangas that I bought about three years ago so I'm not very well-versed into it. However it does seem pretty cool (even if it IS partly about incest but hey, I'm not uncomfortable with it so it's tight with me). I've never seen the anime though, and really want to.

Kaori Yuki is my favorite manga-ka, so I love Angel Sanctuary. x_x I actually got interested in AS when I was about. . . eleven, maybe, so that was a few years ago. It took awhile for me to actually buy the manga, though, but when I did I was glad. :3 I love the storyline, especially since angels and demons are involved. . . I'll try not to say much, since I don't want to ruin anything for anyone.
My favorite character was Lucifer. . haha. That's where my obsession with him began. >.>; But I also liked Katou, Rosiel, Kira, annnd. . . agh. All of the characters were pretty damned interesting.
I haven't read Boys Next Door, but I really want to. ; ; I am reading Godchild at the moment, though~ Still very good.

I love the art, story doesn't interest me that much though..

• When I had read the first manga, I did enjoy it. The story, the characters, everything. But after getting a few mangas into the series(my friend was the purchaser, I would just borrow them from her) and realizing that the two main characters were incestual twins really bothered me, and I put the manga down, and haven't picked it up since. ._____.

Her debut manga, Ellie in Summer Clothes, was very excellent. The ending was kind of a bit strange- hello, you were in love with a CAT in your past life? What?- but overall it was a pretty good manga for a starter!

Originally, Count Cain was a bit hard to get into. Once it hit volume two (The Sound of a Boy Hatching) I got caught in it. And then out came Kafka and Jezebel, who has to be one of the best villians of all time. The scene with Cassandra in Volume Four of Godchild, after they return from the painting lady's house, was so poignant. I cried my eyes out. Poor Jezebel! I also like Riff- maybe because I am also a fan of Rocky Horror Picture Show, like Kaori Yuki-sama?- but then one of my friends emailed me the last chapter and I am so, so very miserable now. I don't know if I'll actually finish the series, since it ends the way it does.

But then, I want to know why the heck Cain would do that. So I guess I will.

Angel Sanctuary was easy to get into. It had realistic characters, despite the things you learn about Kira in volume two- I really had to struggle to get myself past that one, but I managed! The incestual bits don't really bother me much more than any normal romance in a story, so it's not a big deal for me. I like Katan and Sevotharte, but I suppose my all-time favorite character is Teliel. She only appears for a short time in volume six, but she's such a touching character. I cried for her, too.

Also Zurie, Sara and Setsuna are not twins =) They are siblings- I think Setchan is two or three years older than Sara.

I love it (: its a shame that the anime wasent better though :( still... it had to be that way, though they could of atleast added Zaphikal and Raziel in the anime >.<;; they was in the area that the anime was made in after all.
