the first manga that i was introduce to that capture my eye and tranform me into an manga/anime addictor was Kodocha, then it was cardcapter sakura and then chobit and then on and on, now i have become the collector, like all the collector outthere ^-^.
my first anime was inuyasha, it was the only anime that was on tv and i used to love it so much but now, it all gone. i dont like inuyasha as much anymore, i try to watch it again few month ago and became really annoyed and irritated with it.

I'm like alot of girls i know, Sailor Moon was my first.Then I hopped aboard the Pokemon train. But Inuyahsa got me hooked.

Transformers or Thundercats

That is classified Anime? If that's the case then I grew up on Anime. LOL. Loved transformers and Thundercats. Other than that it was Akira when I was like anywhere from 8-10 years old. I snuck it out of my Dad's room and watched it... loved it too. Then after that it was Aeon Flux... my dad and I used to watch that one together(along with Beavis and Butthead... my dad was cool, heh heh.) Dragonball/DragonballZ in High School and then whatever I would catch on Toonami or late night tv on Techtv or something.

• I'm not completely certain what my first anime was, but I know for sure that my first manga was Fullmetal Alchemist. I've been following the series since it first started in Monthly Shonen GanGan in August of 2001.

I grew up with anime without knowing it, pokemon, sailor moon, dragonball Z.. and some others but by the time I realized what it was and all, the first anime I fell in love with was Yu Yu Hakusho.. it was also my first manga. sigh.. nostalgia..
then it was inuyasha and more dragon ball Z, which was like the second manga I read....or maybe that was chobits.. I don't remember, it was years ago now.
but I still passionately love Yu Yu Hakusho to this day.. ^.^

I was watching shows like Pokemon and Sailor Moon from at least second grade, but the first anime I really watched (and knew what was) was Ranma 1/2. I wish they would show Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin on Cartoon Network again.... Wow, I just realized that it's been since (at least) Naruto first came out that I haven't watched anime on the TV. I watch it all online now.

First Anime I really watched was Sailor Moon (followed closely by DBZ, Pokemon and Digimon). First Manga I read was Pokemon. But first series I read completely was actually Model. So, I haven't really been too into Manga for very long, actually. Now I'm addicted. Just wish I could read Kanji, because I have tons of in Japanese manga that I can't read. (Gift)

Pokemon!

My mom use to buy me Doremon, Chibi - Maruko-chan ( or whatever it's called ) and Sailor Moon, I was hooked. Ohh yeah and Pokemon ( on TV ) <33 I didn't know what anime was back when I was little, but when my cousins introduced me to Inu-Yasha, than I knew what this so called 'anime' was. xDD

hmmm...pokemon but i didn't really consider that an anime becuse i was so little and didn't know what an anime was,the ones that got me hooked were fruits basket and azumanga daioh (not that old :D)

The first ever manga was Ranma 1/2 though I didn't realize you called them manga then. Only realized when looking for Hanakimi, my next manga.
I think my first anime was Ouran Host Club.

The first Manga I read was Sailor Moon.. in Freshman year. But I had been watching Anime for years, without even knowing it was Japanese.

I found out years later after reading the first Manga that Sailor Moon was a japanese cartoon... after that I read Ranma and Watched Inuyasha...

My first anime was Ranma 1/2, which I still find hilarious because I was so young and there were boobs everywhere. ^^ My grandfather use to rent videos for me in Chinatown back then so he got me started on anime.

I still adore Ranma 1/2 and have all the manga on a disk somewhere around here. The last time I went back and read some people had to keep poking me back to earth. XD Aaah~ classic.
