My first anime was either Digimon or Pokemon.. or was it Gensomaden Saiyuki? ....I don't remember much of it anymore. XD

My first anime was Fruits Basket and first manga was Tokyo Mew Mew, I think :P

The first anime I can remember watching as a kid was Vampire Hunter D. But at the time I didn't realize that it was from another country. To me it was just some cool cartoon.

It was really Sailor Moon though back in '95 that actaully got me hooked on anime. My fascination for all animated Japanese things started small and grew. I remember a time when no one knew about anime. It was like this secret thing only few people in America knew about. And then suddenly there was this explosion, and I think Sailor Moon is one the titles to help start that. To this day it has remained my favorite anime. It's not the most serious of series or has the best production values. But it's a classic and I think it's great.

Not the North American dub though. That sucks donkeys. ;)

The first anime I watched was Cardcaptor Sakura. It was being aired on Cartoon Network.
At the time I didn't know it what anime was.....but I really like the artwork. My favourite character was Syaoran Li. (He's such a cutie!:angel:)

First manga was Alice 19th. I stopped reading it after five volumes though, the storyline just stopped appealing to me.

CCS was my first anime and manga(one of those "timeless"anime/manga)

As far back as I can remember, not much. But I'm pretty sure it was Sailor Moon. I was so sad when they cut it off in the middle, I think they still have it now. Sailor Stars was a recent group added I think.

Dragon Ball aswell, that was way back. And now they're showing it again on Animax by popular demand.

Pokemon/Sailor Moon/DBZ. :XD I guess Pokemon was first? I can't remember when exactly each started airing over here.

I never really knew what I was watching though until 6th grade-ish, sometime during that year my friend made me watch Yu Yu Hakusho and YuGiOh with her and I got really into it.

It's not the very first I remember reading (the actual one was Dragonball Z) but Ranma 1/2 was the series I actually read. The english version, the books put out by... Err... I forgot who published it... Gah, Tokyo Pop's what's been popping into my head. Anyway, that. I like Takahashi's neat art style.

I like tenchi! Its a fun series I haven't watched it in a while. Slayers was another good one that I haven't seen in a long time though. Currently I'm a huge fan of a series called Bizenghast. Its a Manga not an anime and its awesome. I love it.

The main character Dinah is annoying sometimes but the outfits in the books are amazing I wish there were clothes like that out were I am. Oh and the two guardians so far are funny I love them. Edrear is pretty awesome outfits nice and Edaniel is really funny. ^-^

My first anime was Pokemon, but I didn't know it was an anime (heck, I didn't even know what anime WAS!), so I guess it was Tsubasa Chronicle and/or One Piece. First manga.. I think Fruits Basket? I don't remember :P

Dragon ball was my first I loved that anime. ^^

I grew up with Anime, and manga around because of my parents. So I guess after thinking about it more. Slayers was the first I watched. I was watching it with my mom. *Nods*

Long ago, possibly even before Pokemon graced (or disgraced) our Saturday morning television, I used to watch my dad's Ranma and Hyperdolls tapes. I FUCKING LOVED THEM, Ranma especially. I think all anime fans should have a mandatory viewing of Ranma 1/2.
It's possible that I watched Sailor Moon earlier than that, but, 1. it's Sailor Moon, and 2. I didn't even know what it was, anyway. It would have been back when i didn't know which channels were what or when anything was supposed to come on.

Well, the obvious Anime like Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Digimon. (Although honestly, Pokemon could go fuck itself. Digimon+Sailor Moon=AMAZING!!!)

The first manga I ever read was Inuyasha.

Sailor Moon was the first anime I was introduced to. I was at my little cousin's house that day and she watched Sailor Moon every morning. I watched it with her and was pretty much hooked then.

It's a tie between four animes: Pokemon, Cardcaptors, Rurouni Kenshin, and Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm pretty sure it was actually in that order that I found anime. Anyways, all of them will always be favorites of mine (but only up to a certain point for Pokemon, they beat the life out of it:roll:)

My first anime would have to be Big O. That's the one i remember the most of anyways, There might have been one before it. As for my first manga.. I'd have to say it was Yellow.. Yeah, I got into yaoi when i was like 10. xD The library had it on the YA shelf so i figured it was safe to read.. and figured it didn't invole that, but it did and well.. i enjoyed it. o-o
