Sailor Moon will always be my favorite anime ever and I got the first and fourth season boxset after Christmas. I know they're never going to show the Sailor Stars episodes so I had to get it. I wanted to see the latest story development and newer animation. >w< Sailor Mars is my all time favorite character and ever since the third grade my nickname *given to me by my best friend who had me watch the show* has been Rei. I know some say Ray and Raye and whatnot but Rei feels better to me. ><; Anyways this series was fantastic and influenced the way I've drawn for a long time. Of course I've developed my own style but there's a soft spot for the magical girls of Naoko. >w< Anyways if I could I would talk about this show everyday and hold marathons...along side FMA that is. >w< <333

Oooooh this thread is so much love. I was lucky enough to get into manga at the end of Tokyopop's (then Mixx) run of the entire thing. And being obssessive like I am, I bought it up rather quickly. Glad I did now since it's next to impossible to find. This, like it was for so many, was one of my entry mangas.
My favorites are definitely Mercury and Pluto. (heh... opposites). Also, I recently acquired the live-action musicals and let me tell you... they're hysterical. |
I loved the Sailor Moon series! I hated when they stopped showing it on TV! That made me so mad! I found some of the manga books in Barns and Noble, but decided not to buy any of them. I wish that they would make more of the shows and air them in the US.

Sailor moon was my first anime. This is the rason why I remember it. I used to like it when I was kid. But now, when I've already seen a lot I can compare it with other anime and magas. And in the end it occured to be nothing special.

I first saw it in Portugal, (vacation) Then it came in the Netherlands, like omg. I was so hyper! XD My favorite character all time ish; Sailor Jupiter/Mako-Chan! Woah, idk why I like her. Maybe because she kicks ass. And she's also a sagittarius, like meh. But we're not the same. She's like the opposite. She can cook, I can't. She isn't short, I am. She is confident, im not. She easily fall in love with guys, uh. Same here! But I only watch! Lol, that's the only thing.. T_T Oh well, Sailormoon will always be in my heart :] <333 |

I hate how retired companies own Sailor Moon in America. Also meaning, we'll probably never get the manga or previous anime to the series anymore. (Mixx owns Sailor Moon mangas! T_T.) |

I liked Sailor Moon a long time ago, I haven't seen it in ages and don't remember it though! I don't remember why I liked it either...hmm. Maybe I should hunt some episodes down and watch. |
I use to like Sailor Moon when i was younger, But now i'm not really into really romantic shows anymore.. well.. I still am but It has to be a certain kind.

I loved Sailor Moon when I was younger and still do today. The romance was never especially interesting to me, but I love it for its humor and characters. I've never seen the whole series because I couldn't deal with the acting in the dub, but I don't have the DVDs, either, so I don't know if the original Japanese acting is any more tolerable on the whole.
Saturn and Pluto used to be my favorites, but now it's Uranus and Pluto. Ogata Megumi deserves cake, simply because she is awesome. I enjoy the music, as well; not just the vocal songs, which are nice, but the background music for the original Japanese show, which was really excellent. I still don't know why they redid it for the American version. |
Sailor Moon will always have a special place in my heart as possibly my absolute favorite television series of all time. I get all teary eyed just hearing the opening theme from the Stars season and I watch my DVDs pretty frequently. X)

I love Sailor Moon! (and I'm 18. :D) I have watched it since I was a little girl up till now. I've yet to watch all of season four though, its just too much Chibi-usa (Rini, Mini-Moon, Chibi-Moon) for me to handle. I have seen all of the rest of the seasons and movies. Also, I have seen the PGSM (live action version of sailor moon). I have yet to get my hands on the manga for Sailor Moon yet. :gonk: When I was young, I watched the American version/dub of it, however now that I'm older and the internet has been a big part of my life, I am watching all the seasons/movies again in Japanese (with english sub-titles). I'm also currently learning Japanese, I hope to go to Japan one day and visit Tokyo. Besides, I'm sure the wands, transformation brooches/sticks, and etc are much easier (and cheaper!) to find over there. fufufufu =3 My favorites series is Sailor Stars. Oh God how I adored that season. :drool: My favorite movie is Hearts in Ice (?), the one where the ice-lady tries to freeze earth and Luna falls in love with a man. My favorite senshi (soldier/scout) is either Mercury or Saturn. I love them both so much! (I think mercury gets overlooked because she doesn't really have offensive or strong attacks.) |
Yay Moonies! Yes, like the rest of you Sailormoon was my first real anime and manga. I remember buying the manga way~ back in the day when they sold it at Hot Topic. I think someone else mentioned how difficult it is to buy it now, which is true. (I'm glad I collected them all. ^^;) I recommend for anyone trying to buy it is to find it through Kinokunia Bookstore. They have some of the stuff, but I don't necessarily know if it's still there.
As for the anime, I don't know about the rest of you, but I watched it religiously on Cartoon Network and USA. I was sad when they took it out too, but I guess it couldn't go on forever. I agree that they'll never have the guts to show the Stars season, and I'm sorta glad. I mean, if you compare the first season to the original Japanese version a lot of important things got chopped off. Could you imagine what the censors would do in the Stars season? Yeah, it's best we all just look for the Stars season ourselves. But yeah, I'm definitely a Moonie for life. |
I was a fan but I outgrew it and went on to other anime, I even saw some of the live action musicals that they did on You Tube and they are funny.

Sailor Moon was my very first anime series I was 13 years old when I started watching it. My favorite Inner Scouts were and still are Sailor Moon, and Sailor Chibi Moon, my favorite Outer Scouts were Pluto and Saturn.
It may sound odd but when I learned that science proved that Pluto was not a planet, I had a flashback to when I first saw Sailor Pluto in the series and thought what will the next Sailor Moon fans think, Will they think the creator of Sailor Moon was of her rocker or what? |
Ah Pluto and Saturn are my fave outer scouts too! Saturn had such a sad story.. and Pluto just always seemed really hardcore to me. :heart:

Ah yeah...my first shoujou anime. I loved it very much, in some cases, obsessed with it. I can still remember many things from it...If you like it I's recommend you to watch it. Actually watch its anime and read its manga, they're all great!!

Saddly it getting harder and Harder to Find Sailor Moon Stuff... since the Company that owned the writes to it went under.. so Sailor moon.. is well in in orbit....till some one is smart enought to save it!

Sailor Moon was my first anime and first manga. I have the entire series in manga form and in comic book form. I'm trying to collect all of the DVD's but it's a lot harder than they make it out to be. LOL!! I'm such a fangirl!
