First encounter that i can remember was the loveless series(BL) fell in love with that and went from there. Also the Manga version of only the ring finger knows and a strong love of languages I can't understand lol.

I like anything. I used to run a panel on SHonen-ai. xD So I've done tons of research and watched a lot of stuff. I"m out to date because I just lost interest, been working on getting back into it.

I love watching Yaoi. I just recently finished watching Junjou Romantica and it's great. But, I guess my favorite Shonen-ai is Loveless. Ritsuka and Soubi. Of course I've seen Gravitation and Princess Princess as well. Well, I'm glad there are people here who are into Yaoi/Yuri.

Yaoi...is...AMAZING!!! and I've only liked it for alittle over 2 year...since I got into high school and met some real yaoi obsessed girls.And if my mom knew I liked it I would probably be banned from the computer...though i don't see how she doesn't know I like it..I've made yaoi birthday cards for some friends and showed her the pictures (lol). And Naruto yaoi is what got me interested in yaoi

I am a yaoi fan >w< have been since I was....16 maybe...and yeah...Gravitation isn't bad...but there are other yaoi manga I like better 83 like FAKE <333333....that and there are some things I like from June Comics x3 and From Eroica With Love is amusing...there isn't any actual yaoi in it...but the implications are deffinitely there xD I have the first....3 volumes. Most of the yaoi for that manga is in fanfiction...cause the two characters haven't gotten together officially, and that's mainly because one of the guys is stubborn as fuck xD My introduction to yaoi was from a good friend of mine in high school who showed me Rockman.exe yaoi fanfictions...and I've been addicted ever since.

I've recently gotten into yuri as well...but that's harder to find for fanfictions and stuff...if anyone knows of some good Yuri fanfictions or some good Yuri mangas, that would be highly appreciated

It'd be kinda cool to see how many people are yaoi fans on this site xDDD

I love yaoi. I have been a fan for about 4 or 3 years now I can't remember. The first one I watched was actually an AMV of Gravitation. At first I thought Shuichi was a girl, since his pink hair is very misleading. But I looked into it and found out that he was a guy, but I didn't freak out or anything. Now I've branched off to Loveless, and Junjou Romantica. I always wonder what my life would be like if I didn't watch anime.

Okay, not to be repetitive, but also Loving Yaoi here! I own many, and between me and my friends, we have a great roving library of books, interspersed with trips to the local bookstore to "browse" and online. Gotta say it equals a great many books.

I've been reading Loveless, though it's on hold due to moneylessness...speaking of no money, I finished Okane Ga Nai just yesterday, watched Close the Last Door today...I've been watching Ai no Kusabi, but I just can't bring myself to finish it. T.T Gakuen Heaven is a good watch, too.

That's all well and good, but that pretty much implies that the porn is made for gay men, which it isn't. Yaoi's main target audience is women. There's a big difference between yaoi aimed at women and gay manga aimed at gay men.

I read some yaoi manga's/fanfics but not many. Generally speaking it's not my thing, but if I think two male characters look cute together then I'll venture on in. That and sometimes a yaoi story is really well written. My first (and only... that I can think og) yaoi anime was Gravitation. I think my first discovery of yaoi came from being a huge fan of Suikoden II and was reading fanfics (Seed and Culgan pairings = <3 ). At first I evaded it like the plague, but then again I first discovered the genre when I was in like 6th grade. Haha. Once I hit high school it didn't so much bother me, but I didn't read much of it (still don't). Generally the yaoi I read is fairly clean (kissing and hugging and the occasional grope XD ), but there have been a few where they get a bit more detailed in the sexual acts (though I evade anything hardcore.... that's just awkward, gay or strait, and generally is never pulled off well anyway).

And not all yaoi is porn people :/ It's just a term used gay relationships. There soft core yaoi, medium core yaoi and hardcore yaoi.

I like to watch couples in regular animes. Some of them are pretty obvious: SasukeXNaruto, LXLight, TsuchidaXSouji, etc.

Deviant art is a great place to get some really well drawn fan made yaoi.

Male fan of yaoi here. My first..."exposure" to it was a St. Seiya doujinshi. And I have been hopelessly hooked ever since! I collect it (when I have the money), write it, and role play it! Yeah...I guess I'm kinda obsessed.

I like both yaoi and yuri, but yuri is harder to find with STORY. Yaoi at least has story. Well... When we're talking from an American standpoint. None the less even some of the most hardcore yaoi has story. My first yaoi I believe was Gravitation, and I... Did not like it. However I gave it more of a chance and found FAKE- which I absolutely adore till this day. I also love Until the Full Moon.

My favorites though for yaoi are: FAKE, Until the Full Moon and Okane Ga Nai (no Money)

As for yuri, I've come to like it more than I used to, however mostly when dealing with my personal roleplays.

But to comment on this, but I'm sorry but you are incorrect. Yaoi is porn, it's not a term used to explain homosexual relationships. What you are thinking of is Shonen ai or Boy Love. Yaoi is sexual in nature. Yaoi is actually an acronym for "Yama nashi, Ochi nashi, Imi nashi" which translates to "No climax, no resolution, no meaning", it is a genre of Hentai which is animated pornography. Those in the US has deemed Yaoi as a 'use all' term for male sexual relationships.

In any case I've recently attended Yaoi-con; >3 it was... Amazing.

oohh i love yaoi. At first, i was talking to one my good friends and she gave me a link, so i clicked it. Lo and behold, yaoi. I was disgusted at first, but eventually came to like it.
