I only have the first part. I need to get the second one.

Did anyone notcie that there was a consistancy error? In the very first panel that Xander is talking to Renee in, she doesn't have any earrings in her ears, but in every other panel, she has an eagle's feather hanging out of her (I think) left one.

I still loved it.

I am Joss Whedon's bitch.

Oh, yeah, I heard about that. My sister was in the UK last week and she tried to get an issue. She said the guy at the store looked at her like she was impaired and was like, "You can get one at in America.".

You should order one from here, if you can. It's totally worth it.

I've never really watched Buffy. I missed it while it was on, the DVDs are too expensive, and I can't stand Alyson Hannigan's acting (but I've heard she's not quite as much of a self-centered tramp on Buffy).

However, considering that Joss Whedon's "Astonishing X-Men" is the best X-Men (hell, might be the best Marvel comic) in years and the fact the "Firefly" and Serenity and the "Serenity: Those Left Behind" comic were all infused of win and awesome, AND the fact that Buffy fans are some of the most rabid and devoted people since "The X-Files", I'd say the comic has more than a fair chance of success. And hopefully he'll want to continue doing comic adaptations of his works.

I have 1-6 of the comic book series so far. I haven't really watched the show though. I'm not a huge fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar at all. In fact to be blunt I just don't like her. I like Buffy in the comics though.

My favorite character both in the show and the comics is Xander though. He's hilarious and I think I would watch the show only for him if I needed to. Though the only characters that I can say I dislike are Buffy (in the show, not in the comics) and Dawn (I don't like her in the comics either).

The art in the comics is amazing though and the writing is superb. I highly recommend these comics, even if you're not a big fan of the show and you just like to read comics. They are worth the read. At the very least you can just look at the pretty pictures, and believe me they ARE very pretty indeed.

I'm not a big Sarah Michelle Gellar fan either ^^
But I did like Buffy for the most part, especially though
when Spike became a regular character. :D

I collect the Season 8 comics, I think it's pretty coo.

I'm also collecting the Angel: After the Fall
series. It's written by Joss and it follows immediately after
the end of the Angel series. It's so over
the top though I doubt it would ever be a Tv series.

Besides, Spike- I really like Faith and Fred/Illyria
but I liked a lot of other characters too.

I'm just guessing that most posters here didnt actually know that buffy has had a comic series or a related series since before the actual show was canceled... There've been piles of books, most of the graphic novels seem to center around spike and angel but i do believe they put out the buffy omnibus, covering a bunch of the comics pre-season 8.

but enough about that, season 8's comics are the best idea to ever happen to the series. it really lets the writers continue the plot without having to worry so much about a special effects budget or what they could do with practical make-up or CGI. they can just let fly and do what they want with the story. I particularly enjoyed faith and giles story-arc and hope that becomes an ongoing series all by itself. They make a great team, the dark souled heroes trying to make up for their pasts... or just using their unique abilities to do the jobs that others cant.

So far, I'm a big fan of the buffy: season eight comics. I have the complete series on DVD (hmmm - christmas presents...) I rewatch them once in a while - and I feel that the comics return a bit to the early buffy episodes. They aren't quite as gloomy as the last seasons. Buffy: NOW WITH 30% LESS BROODING!!

I was ever able to get into Angel that much. I'm madly in love with spike, but I couldn't bring myself to watch Angel even after he switched series.

I love the Buffy comic books! I have the first 5 but I am not sure if they came out with any more because the comic store I ordered from online stopped sending me updates.

There are at least 12 - I have to wait for the next one a bit because my mom will bring it from the comic book store when she comes for a visit - the store in the city my mom lives in is just so much nicer, we rather support that one than one of the *overpriced* stores in vienna...
Buffy 12 has a BIG surprise in store for you

I'm really loveing Season 8 in comic form!
I like that there are no limitations because anything is possible!

And Buffy's new exploration... HOT! :) To say the least wooo!
Dawn is also cooler when you can't hear her screaming and whining about everything too lol. I'm really anxious to see what happens with her... will she ever be normal sized again? :)

I still think the light of God might possibly shine out of Joss Whedon's ass.

Season 8 is excellent, and for the Spike fans, check out Spike Vs. Dracula. I think it's five parts, and it's very good. Lots of Spike/Dru goodness.

I still feel that the one character who always made the show good was Xander. He was funny, smart, sensitive...and I can't get over Nicholas Brendan. Apparently, he has a wicked bad stutter. They had to reshoot some of those complicated lines a LOT. Poor guy. What a trooper.

The Buffy Season 8 comics have been awesome.
The character still feel the same though in cartoon. I love the story arcs and specially when they go to Japan.

I hope Dawn does get back to her old self but somehow she is changing into another bizare creature.
I was pretty shocked to say to see Buffy swing for the other team but well atleast the breaking of it wasn't hard like her other relationships. I want to see more of satsu in the future but know we got this future slayer Fray to look foreward too.

Just as a point of interest for the fans, the official buffy canon actually only includes the tv show, angel, the continuation comics, the fray series, and the tales of the vampires/slayers series... so thats the official timeline and accepted universe

The comics are awesome! I've only just started reading them though. I wasn't sure if I'd like them. I got a bunch before, when they first started releasing them before the end of the TV show, but didn't really continue it. That was until I read FRAY and, omgosh! I wish Joss had made more than the 8 stories... I hope they make something more of her, I really do. Like a cartoon that re-caps then continues on after. Or a Movie that does a whole she-bang of the mini series and somehow works in the little stuff with buff and that little story she has in the Slayer stories. Anyway, Fray, Faith, and Willow all have my heart. Buffy is queen, but she's not my idol  the show will always have a place in my heart though, and I still get all "flashback-to-highschool-teen-angst"-y whenever I watch an episode of it.

From what little I've been able to gleam of the Buffy comics, it seems pretty okay. I did like Angel: After the Fall and I did love both the shows when they were on air. Angel's comic series doesn't seem like it will last and Buffy also appears to be winding down unfortunately from the last i heard. If I'm wrong about that, please correct me, I would like it if they kept the Buffy or Angel cmic series' ongoing.
