I at least buy one manga per week.
As for anime DVDs I buy at least one complete series a month.

How about you? How frequently do you buy your manga/anime?
What kind of manga/anime do you like?

I rent anime, but that's pretty rare in itself. Give me manga any day!

As far as for how often I purchase manga, it's pretty variable. it all depends on what's out and if I like it enough to buy it. Lately I've been buying From Eroica With Love and Eyeshield 21, but after I'm caught up with them... eh. No manga purchases from me for a while... unless the next volume of one of the series' I like comes out.

Like never.
My sister and I own three manga. The rest we borrow from a friend, or checked out at the library, or read online. Actually, now we own 5 because my sister accidentally got water on the back cover of our friend's manga and she's buying her a new one....and that same friend bought us a manga last month. >w<

They are just too expensive to buy most of the time, since my parents are the ones that would be paying. They already have to pay for school, lessons, and gas because they're constantly driving me somewhere. So, until I have time for a job....which that'll be a while....I won't be able to buy any manga.

Mine's about every other month, though my husband will go on a weekly basis and pick things up.

I prefer to wait till there are several out that I like and then go from there.

As for anime I tend to buy at least 3-4 DVD's throughout the month and occasionally complete series but that's a little harder unless I want to go the ebay route, which I've had both OK luck and awful luck with.

  • I used to buy manga whenever the next volume of one of the series' I had came out/when I had money. But I've been leaning more toward anime, and even then, the purchasing is infrequently. Maybe when I have more money/when I start my new job, I'll hop back onto my manga frenzy(since I'm SOOOOO behind on a few of my favorites), but until then, schoolwork for me. x______x

i buy manga quite often, and sometimes i buy manga when the next volume of the series i'm reading comes out, which is buso renkin and kamichama karin, still need to get book 7 of kamichama karin (last volume ;_; ) and book 5 of buso renkin (yay! more volumes), but ya i buy lots of manga, and sometimes just random ones like i bought the 15 and 16 volume of bleach and not any of the other volumes, and book 3 and 4 of cardcaptor sakura, but mostly i buy shonen jump manga/mangazine XD its so addicting 8D, i wish i can find the hikaru no go manga D:, and the naruto manga doesn't seen so interesting to me, but the full metal alchemist anime is hilarious XDD. Ooo i said too much o.o/

I rarely ever buy Anime, because I feel that for the most part there isn't enough of the written story being put into the show.
Granted, my friend (and boyfriend for two months on Tuesday) probably has over 100 Anime series that he owns, if not more. We alphabatized them about a week and a half ago, which was complete hell, but at least we know where everything is now. ^^;
The only complete Anime series that I have is Gravitation, because my boyfriend won't buy things like that. xP

So I'm the Manga girl. On average, I buy about 10-20 separate books a month, maybe more or less depending on how much I get on my paychecks. Since I work at a Borders, I get my books 33% off, which is always good. I can get 10 books for the price of 7. :D
Needless to say, I have a lot of Manga. Probably more than I want to admit to, really. ^^;;

I would buy manga at least twice a week when I have the time and money. Unless I really really really can't wait for buy a volume and read it, lol. Which happens a lot. XDD;; I usually buy online from different publishing websites or sites like eBay or Amazon.com, etc lol. It's just much easier clicking a button then walking to the bookstore and stuff. But, there is a chance that you can get scammed on the internet, which makes me sad. ;3; I only buy volumes of manga online that I'm already familiar with from different bookstores. I get to know different mangas in the bookstores because I can get a sense of what is actually in the book. XD

Manga I buy every few months. Not many of the titles I read have been released in the U.S., and there's only one person whose art and stories I like enough to buy manga straight from Japan.

Anime, I buy every few years. Those things are expensive, especially if its a longer series (and again, not all the series are released in the U.S.). I prefer to rent anime before buying it.

I haven't been buying that much anime or manga lately. I just haven't had the time to search for good series and it hasn't been on the top of my interests either. I haven't bought any new anime in at least a year. xD And manga, I have no idea. Probably more recently but for friends and not myself. I'm now reading scanlations of stuff that isn't in english yet for the most part. I do plan on getting more manga soon. But not anime; that's too expensive for me at the moment.

Eh not very frequent though I wish it were.... I no longer have a job and I buy whenever I find one I like... recently I bought four outright on my last paycheck... >.> Came to like $60-$70 CDN.... mom didn't find out so I was safe... >.> She hates when I buy manga she believes it's a waste of money because I finish them in two hours.

Not too frequently. Since I collect figures and Love & Berry Cards, most of my income goes into that. But if I feel like it, I usually buy a few DVDs of animes that spark my interest.

I've decided to try a few shonen titles for once, since I can't find a shop that sells Alice Academy. I've recently gotten Gundam Seed Destiny, and a few days afterward, Tenjo Tenge.

Hmm.. I guess I only buy after I read the series and I like it. XD So I guess I buy very rarely. @[email protected] Though I have a huge collection? (Is that consider a paradox? XDD)

As for anime, I never buy it. XD I usually watch it online-and if I MUST have it, I'll ask my aunt from Taiwan to buy it. >.>

:D Every month or so, I pretty much go on a shopping spree at Barnes & Nobles and Borders. At the end of each month, I take all the titles that I've been looking for.
