I absolutely love the art style of Ken Akamatsu (love hina, a.i. love you, negima, etc~). He's been my favorite manga artist for a while now.
I tend to be drawn more towards the newer art styles rather than older ones, as well. There's something about the fresh, clean look that really appeals to me.

I like how simplistic and clean Ghibli Studios' works are. Very pleasing on the eyes.
But I must say my favorite is Kaori Yuki's art. her work is just simply amazing. She's by far my favorite shojuo artist. (series- Angel Sanctuary, Count Cain, etc)
For shounen, Hirohiko Araki is the runaway winner. Although is art is a little offsetting to people used to the simplistic and generic style of most manga today, his work is detailed and vivid, and he can draw awesomely detailed action scenes without it being too cluttered or confusing. (series- Jojos Bizarre Adventure)

I quite like the style of Ken Akamatsu as well...his stories aren't the greatest but his drawing style is nice...and that of the Naruto mangaka, whose name escapes me.

I'm also a fan of Kaori Yuki, but another favorite is Matsuri Akino. She's the mind behind Petshop of Horrors. There's also Yuho Ashibe, for their work on Bride of Deimos.

I love bishi styled anime. They make anything interesting, eye-attracting, mouth-drooling, and constant hours of staring. XDDDDDD;;; *obsessed* 8D; But they're sososooo hot. I hope I can draw like that someday. *daydreams* :DD <333 But yes. They are especially sexy in yaoi mangas. 8DD BWAHAHALOLZ.

Studio Ghibli is absolutely amazing. Much luff to Miyazaki. I've always been a big fan.
Yuu Watase's style is also one of my favorites. Her anime and manga is just so shoujo and awesome. xD The storylines are pretty cool too.
And Yukimachiya/Yukigakure's Naruto doujinshi makes me squeal like the obsessive fangirl that I am. I guess it'd be accurate to say that my favorite style is that pretty boy, bishie style drawn for mostly BL. (see: Tohjoh Asami, Kotoku Miroku, Hotaru Odagiri, Takanaga Hinako, Takagi Ryou, etc... xD)

Junko Mizuno.
Love IT!! it reminds me of 'lady lovely locks" only with nudity...even then its tastefully done, and very sweet. there is such life put into it. each detail matters.
Oh Great.
has a great handle on anatomy, when so many styles dont.
the characters are not so typical. the poses are eye catching and the scenes draw you in.
he doesnt skimp on his work. he brings it all out, and there is so much energy.
K.Akamatsu.
he developed it over time, take a look at A.I Love. it looks more like something from the old Gundam series, very copied. so its nice to see gradual changes in his work. the bodies are very plan and quite easy to imitate. its when he draws action, thats when it really stands out.
CLAMP.
since its between like 4 women...use to be more.
they each have to work together to get a consistency in their style. and it works! not totally fond of the spindly HUGE eyed characters, and i am not a fan of the triangle headed men. but at least when they draw genders they make it known that "this is a female", "this is a male" and "this character is androgynous"
they dont try to make boys look so femme that they end up looking more like girls than boys. they really give male characters a sense of masculinity.
the fashion is what really makes CLAMP stand up and out. they create clothing that looks so natural to wear around, but has so much detail to it that it will stand out.
Barasui.
just stared reading his "Strawberry Mashmallow" manga. and i really like how stylish it is. only down side, is that you cant tell the faces between characters, and i cant stand when the way he draws the girls in shoes...they do this weird arch.
other than that, its very cute the movement of the girls are realistic. its obvious he studied anatomy.
Miwa Ueda.
realism, and style. half the things she draws she gets from Fashion magazines. so i am so so with that aspect.

i really like the person who drew for Full Moon and Gentleman's alliance cross. (same people) She makes really good dramatic story lines that just grasp your heart!
EDIT:: yea! Clamp art is the coolest! Tsubasa is just so cool compared to the other action/adventure type mangas!
