This would have to be my most favorite series. Both the manga and the anime since both were so different from each other so it wasn't boring when I watched the anime after reading the manga.

I first found a review on the anime in a magazine, but I ignored it. Later on, I found the graphic novel in a bookstore and bought it. I don't regret my purchase =D

I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't many here on Mene who've either read or watched it since it isn't one of those mainstream series. If you haven't, pick it up ^^ If you have, why not come and discuss it?

Wow... I hadn't thought about Cosette for a while. I'd only seen the anime, but it was dark and lovely. Hm... I'll have to check out the manga. ^_^

Yes, I loved the dark imagery. That's what pulled me in because the review was so badly written and didn't give much detail other than a plot summary XD

I've seen it on the shelf, but haven't picked it up yet. What's it about?

Skada- It's a gothic romance (romance isn't my thing but this was good) about a young girl who was killed by her fiancee who was a crazed painter. Then she's alone without moving on for centuries and eventually meets the protagonist, who falls in love with her and tries everything to save her soul.

Zurie- I've never read Les Miserables. I might in Sophomore year (not sure) so I don't know the story.

I think I saw the Sound Track for this anime on the Right Stuf website, going for a really cheap price as one of their weekly deals. I wanted it, but couldn't scrounge up the money in time.

I also didn't know there was a manga/graphic novel of it. Maybe i'll check that out.

As for the anime, has it been dubbed into English? Or just subbed?

Selmarixie- It has been released as a dub. I've seen it at Best Buy.

Was it really that good? I saw some clips at AnimeFEST and I thought the artwork in it was amazing. But I never got to see it. Onii-chan said it looked pretty good too and he's not even a big anime fan. But it looks like such a beautiful styled anime. I'm not entirely sure what the story line is, but I would love to watch it. Is it on Youtube?

Yeah, I saw that you corrected the mistake in the 'petite' word ^^ but even like that they are mistake O.o Hehe, it happen a lot with japanese. They love french things but they still make lot of mistake.

GainaSpirit- Well at least I know it's not "Petit" XD And I've noticed that with other things like Japanese rock groups and clothing brands (not naming any XD) that my friend pointed out had errors.

I've been wanting to pick this one up for a while (since before it was released here) but everywhere I've found it, it's so much more expensive than anything else I'm interested in, so I always end up buying something else instead.
Being married with two kids, I don't have a lot to spend on anime unfortunately, so if I can get two DVD's with more time each, or one with less, I'm going to choose the two.
Maybe I'll get lucky and my dad will get it for me or a friend will pick it up and I can borrow it. :?

Beautiful anime, the style, music and plot are gorgeous.
I didn't know the manga is different, I must definately get it now! I like things with a different but same story from manga, like Kodomo no Omocha and Jisatsu Sakuru :3 It's... interesting~ ^^

I saw the anime. It really intrigued me with the art and how dark it was. Very interesting and interesting story.

I got the manga from a friend for Christmas one year. Aaah, it was so good! Short and sweet. <3

i have watched this series before. i wanted to watch it after i watched a preview of it from one of my other anime series and was really interested in it. watched the anime and i thoroughly enjoyed it but i haven't read the manga, i didn't know there was one until mentioned in the post. if the storyline is different from the anime i will have to check it out. :)
